Spent time in the hospital yesterday being checked out. Talked to several nurses on covid.

Luckily I checked out OK and if I had another stroke it was a mini stroke.

What was interesting was talking to three nurses over about 14 hours.  All three pretty much said the same thing.  Covid is very real but not a problem if you don't have underlying health issues.  All three nurses were in the 45 to 55 year age group.  All said they have seen worse flu epidemics in the past.  All three said the numbers are being inflated by 2, 3 or 4 times actual numbers both in those testing positive with covid and those dying of covid.  All three said there may be areas of the country that are worse than S.C. but that they wouldn't believe any numbers reported as the hospitals have a financial interest in reporting high numbers of covid.

I certainly saw no evidence of large numbers of people in the hospital.  These three nurses said their hours have been cut which agrees with what our daughter who is an RN has told us that she can't seem to pickup any extra shifts which she would frequently do before all this nonsense started.

I have said all along we are being played for fools.

Unfortunately, the virus response and data reporting is like so many, many things.... follow the money. Worse, this year it is also follow the votes.

My condition is GREAT!!!   For a crippled up old fart.  I can still chase Hot Momma around the house, as long as she walks slowly!!!        :p

I agree, the covid BS will not be a problem one day after the election.   I will concede I could be wrong.  If the press decides they can cause even more problems for Trump by continuing to lie about the number of cases and deaths, and enough people still believe that millions of people are dying I have no idea where this goes.

    Good you checked out okay.
My post a few days ago doesn't address inflated numbers, but is does address real people and what is happening in their world.

    https://forums.gunbroker.com/discussion/1894092/virus-report#latest

Note the chart Barzilla posted on total weekly deaths from all causes.  The chart shows an increase in total deaths.  So I have to wonder if this virus isn't the reason what is the reason for the increase in total deaths.  We can see from the chart when the flu virus cycles.  Even if more deaths are being blamed on the virus than is warranted we can't ignore the increase in total deaths.

Yes it is being politized and used to cast doubt and blame.   Chances are the virus will have ran it's course by November and certainly a lot of the hyped up drama will go away..   None of that means the virus isn't an issue and people aren't dying from it.   I don't say this to support government ordered restrictions I am just pointing out the reality of the virus despite all the sensationalism.

So why would I report someone talking to me in a private conversation??  They were giving me their opinions.  All three said they had seen worse flu seasons in the past.  Their opinion is something I should report??  I'm sure much of what they said are either their observations or what they have been told by the MDs or what they over heard the MDs saying to one another.  When they mentioned that this so called pandemic, that is said to be so deadly, that their hours have been cut instead of increased which would not make sense if this BS was really as nasty as the media has portrayed it.  I should report their thoughts on why they don't believe this is anywhere near as serious as is being reported??  I should report my daughter because of her complaining that she can't pickup extra shifts like she could in the past??   Should I report her attitude that if they don't need her for extra shifts this must not be as serious as it is being reported??   They said they believed that both cases and deaths have been/are being over reported.   I have had this same talk with a couple of MDs.  They believe the numbers are being inflated.  In my opinion if you talk to a number of medical professionals and all of them say they don't believe the numbers being reported I'm guessing they are probably correct in their assessment.  Are any of these things that should be "reported?"   Not in my mind.  Now I know that screamingly nutty libtards/commies think we do not have the right to our opinions if our opinions do not agree with their opinions but thankfully, at least for now we still have the rights to our views/opinions.

I think we will continue to have these rights up until the commies take over congress and the white house, then we will not have our rights very long at all if we are not willing to fight for them.  I am not sure there are enough patriots left who are willing to fight for our country.  The next several months will be very interesting!!!!!

Mrmike, I am more than willing to be labeled a dirty old man.  If the shoe fits wear it!!  The catch is these nurses were very nice but not the sexy type of nurse that would give you the urge to play doctor!

Maybe I'm naive, but I just assumed that doctors & medical examiners followed CDC guidelines when completing death certificates for covid deaths. -   https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nvss/vsrg/vsrg03-508.pdf

I have said from the beginning that this virus isn’t as dangerous as they say it is. I still look at it as, 1 part dangerous, 2 parts hype and 3 parts political. Now after watching it all summer I have come to the conclusion, that, medically it has been manufactured in to a combination of 6 parts BS. It is a way for hospitals to collect $39,000 for each patent they claim to have died from this virus. It is also a propaganda tool used by the media in promoting their agenda of liberalism, and putting fear in people in order to control them.

I completely agree with you waltermoe.  This has been BS from day one.  The original statement about 2.2 million are going to die should have the people reporting this locked up for terrifying the American people!

You are busy asking questions so I have a few for you.  In my personal opinion, getting the thoughts and opinions of medical people in the hospital as I did Sunday, thoughts/opinions from medical professionals in the church I attend, thoughts/opinions from both family and friends that are medical professionals, all people I admire and respect, all of whom say this is a whole lot of fuss about that which is no more than an average flu season in their opinion.  Since I am getting these opinions from people I respect why would I doubt what they say??

I know one thing 100% for certain!!  I would trust these good peoples opinions FAR MORE than I would trust anything being said by ANY branch of our government!!

Barzillia, thank you for the compliment on my intelligence. So maybe you can answer me a couple of questions. A person was killed 3 weeks ago on a motorcycle, during the during the autopsy it was found that he had the virus, they put the cause of death as cov-19. Two weeks ago two girls went to get tested, they filled out the papers, after two hours of waiting they said the hell with this and left, five days later they received notices that they were positive. Now you were saying something about a hippo tail oath? It’s all about the money at this stage of the game, and inflating the numbers.

Just because someone isn’t afraid of Covid doesn’t mean he or she doesn’t believe in it. He or she understands the risk but doesn’t prioritize fear over life.

Barzillia, I only have one question to ask you. Are you a big fan of MSNBC, CNN, or are you on DRUGS?

  • buddybbuddyb Member Posts: 5,398 ✭✭✭✭
I have heard the story from several sources about people signing up then not wanting to wait to take the test and getting a positive result, even though they did not get tested. It was always someone they knews wife ,cousin,in laws. I think this is more of an urban myth than truth. I heard about the $39000 per covid death and was trying to figure out where the money came from and where it went. Its not that I doubt anyone but there are a lot of unanswered questions.

Glad you are well, I think its a shame the media is so unreliable that even if something is true their reporting will cast doubt due to the previous editorial and opinionated coverage of news items

Below is regarding a elderly woman who had Covid listed on her death certificate in SC. Question begs to be asked how many more?

Gary Watts, the county coroner who responded to Hill’s death, told WIS that coronavirus was never mentioned to his office in her case.

“When we took the call originally, it was a patient with Alzheimer’s — nothing was mentioned about COVID-19 at that time,” he said.

“It’s certainly something that needs to be answered as to why that happened, and who made that decision, and why that decision was made if there was no indication at the time of death,” Watts said
