General Wesley Clark
Years ago I drove Westy to a Combine Arms Demonstration near Camp Buckner at the Point. As i recall there were three tanks (before Bradleys), five 155mm howitzers. three APCs, mortar, wire guided missiles and a couple of Warthogs from Stewart AFB. On the other side of the valley were dummy vehicles and old cars, cardboard set up to look like enemy troops on the side of the mountain straight ahead. Firepower was probably nothing compared to todays firepower. Still, in a matter of a few minutes the side of that mountain was reduced to ruble. Armor is Hell.
I wondered why Putin had not consolidated his forces at Kyiv after surrounding Ukraine. Tonight General Clark alluded to what he thought was coming. I have fallen out of favor with General Clark because of his association with Hillary but he was the Supreme Commander of all NATO Forces and he is one smart warrior. There is a saying that if you get the chief the braves will go home. If all of Putin's troops mass at Kyiv the destruction and carnage will be unimaginable.
If this happens what will Brandon do? Some would say where is Churchill when you need him. God help the local boys. -------------------------------Ray

"Where's Churchill when you need him"... I think Margaret Thatcher would do better than what they have now.
Wesley Clark is probably praising economic sanctions as we speak.
One can only hope the Russian people will turn on Putin in mass. They got tired of their husbands, sons, and brothers being killed on those mountain passes in Afghanistan.
Not to get off topic but they just raised gas another six cents tonight. Regular in Monroe, NY is now $3.75.9 A little trickle down from the terrible state the world is in.---------------Ray
If the Russians had studied our performance in our trip to Iraq during Desert Storm, they would have learned a few tricks. We had to cross oceans to get to the battle, they only had to cross imaginary lines next door, so far this has turned out to be a genuine Cluster F. Be proud of the U.S military even though it's very costly we're light years ahead of anyone else.

Patton was right !
Clark was the commanding general of Ft. Irwin, CA when I was there in '89-'91...................meh
I have been under his command twice and was not impressed.
He’s a lightweight tool that should never get press
