26 U.S.C. § 5845(G) . Dealing my self with tons of older firearms. I have been in contact with ATF here in my state, Rifles that were changed only in caliber an not in profile were now considered to be modern. There fore I had to register an transfer them when sold. I am going on what the ATF has me doing. I could be wrong as the agent might be wrong. In this business you do as you are told an cover your butt. I have had this discussion with many customers. Mostly concerning The 1893/95 Mauser that were converted to 7.62 nato. That they are antique. I may be wrong an due apologize.
