Guess what? Speaking as a cop, if you are convicted of a violent felony and I find out you have guns....I AM going to tread all over you. You will be arrested, and your guns will be seized - that's the law. Good luck overturning that one...

And when the order comes down, "Mr. and Mrs. America, turn them all in!", you'll be right there to collect them, right?

After all; it will be 'the law'.

I have heard this crap for years....same ole dribble about the Army teaming up with the U.N....I suppose you have 100lbs of rice in your basement left over from Y2K?

National gun confiscation is a slightly different arguement than what I am talking about...would I seize guns from everyone 'when the order is given'....NO.

Will I arrest a convicted felon with a gun? YES, with a smile on my face!

BTW....when 'the order is given'....is that kind of like the Chancellor from Star Wars saying "Execute order 66!"??

How long have you lived with your parents?

I see. When someone else's rights are trampled, that is all fine by you. When YOUR "rights" come into question, THEN you think they are overstepping the boundry.

For your information, porn, muchless kiddy porn, is not protected under the guise of the first amendment. You will be hard pressed to see anyone here defend kiddy porn.

For now, you have the brotherhood of the thin blue line covering your *. What happens when/if society collapses? You think that little opinion of yours will get you far?

It is LEO's like you that remove my respect for your profession. We have a CONSTITUTION that superceeds any laws that contridict it. Apparently they didn't teach you to think in jack boot academy.

Your collectivist drivel in sickening.. [xx(]

    Another LEO.

    Imagine that.

Oh...about that 95 percent ? Nothing new about that sort of thing at all. In any culture, there has been, at any given time, 3-5 percent of the population intelligent enough to think their way out of a paper bag.
    This society is no different.

The Founders knew this...that is why they left instructions detailing PRECISELY what the federal government was allowed to do...and NOTHING else without altering the Constitution.

Naturally, you and the mass of ignorant protoplasm are in the majority, you control the levers of power...you get to ignore the Law of the Land...the Constitution.

    At least for right now.

The Constitution was DESIGNED to protect the minority from the tyranny of the majority...enjoy your reign of terror.

Guess what guys....when you are convicted of a felony, you lose your rights. I know that you two stay up late at night counting your ammo for the coming 'collaspe of society', 'race war', insert your own lunatic 'balloon going up' language here.

The law is the law....convicted felons cannot have guns....nobody else here feels for their rights. What about the rights of the innocent American who gets killed by a felon with a gun...do you care about that persons rights? I am certainly glad you you guys are in the minority here. Back up for a minute, and think about how crazy it sounds to defend criminal pieces of crap like them.

Maybe you guys should go down to the probation/parole office and hold up a sign saying 'give these felons their guns back'. People who laugh at you and spit in your face.

Your perverse attitude of the 2nd amendment gives all of us here a bad name. Don't do us any favors please...

P.S. Might want to throw a bag of Doritos in your 'collaspe of society' survival kit.

Go ahead and stand behind your 'Don't dread on me' flag.

Guess what? Speaking as a cop, if you are convicted of a violent felony and I find out you have guns....I AM going to tread all over you. You will be arrested, and your guns will be seized - that's the law. Good luck overturning that one...

    Gimmie a freakin break~!

    Look;

It's 'tread', not 'dread', and it is not called the 'Don't Tread On Me' flag, sfb.

It's called the Gadsden flag. You know how it got it's name, or does your knowledge of it consist only of what you've read/seen in DHS memos?

    Here ya go;

In fall 1775, the United States Navy was established to intercept incoming British ships carrying war supplies to the British troops in the colonies. To aid in this, the Second Continental Congress authorized the mustering of five companies of Marines to accompany the Navy on their first mission. The first Marines that enlisted were from Philadelphia and they carried drums painted yellow, depicting a coiled rattlesnake with thirteen rattles, and the motto "Don't Tread On Me." This is the first recorded mention of the future Gadsden flag's symbolism.

At the Congress, Continental Colonel Christopher Gadsden represented his home state of South Carolina. He was one of three members of the Marine Committee who were outfitting the first naval mission. It is unclear whether Gadsden took his inspiration from the Marines' drums, or if he inspired them himself.

Before the departure of that first mission, the newly appointed commander-in-chief of the Navy, Commodore Esek Hopkins, received the yellow rattlesnake flag described above from Gadsden to serve as his distinctive personal standard.

Gadsden also presented a copy of this flag to the South Carolina legislature in Charleston, South Carolina. This was recorded in the South Carolina congressional journals:

Col. Gadsden presented to the Congress an elegant standard, such as is to be used by the commander in chief of the American navy; being a yellow field, with a lively representation of a rattle-snake in the middle, in the attitude of going to strike, and these words underneath, "Don't Tread on Me!"

Bob, some results are in. I counted comments on thread over in General Discussion up to about 2 minutes ago.

    Neutral - 1
    Against restoring rights - 2
    Smartass comments - 6
    Restore rights - 8

Does not count those who commented more than once(1 post 1 vote).

So you are wrong(at least tonite) about the majority belief.

Face it, guys...bob is right. The majority of americans no doubt believe just as he does.

Changes nothing. They are operating OUTSIDE THE LAW...him and all his buddy LEOs.

Nobody changed the Constitution to their twisted way of thinking...they just took it by FORCE...and the bulk of stupid humanity went along. Nothing new at all, there.

Americans, naturally, KNOW better...but when faced with overwhelming force, and not yet enough provocation...there is nothing to do but accept their perversions of Justice.

    And there it is.

    Bob,

I know you believe you are dealing with idiots, but you're not. Yeah, I caught the statement you made (in bold).

Of course you wouldn't confiscate firearms from 'everyone', for example: your cohorts that are assisting you.

As for the citizens, I have no doubt that with your mindset, you'd be busting down doors, sticking a muzzle into the face of Americans, putting your boot on their necks and demanding, "Hand em over!".

How did you put it earlier?

    Here it is:

"Guess what? Speaking as a cop, if you are convicted of a violent felony and I find out you have guns....I AM going to tread all over you. You will be arrested, and your guns will be seized - that's the law. Good luck overturning that one..."

You need to check out oathkeepers.org. There, you will find folks in the military, those charged with keeping the peace, etc, that have made a statement where they stand on the issue. You may be suprised that not all folks in your line of work see things as you do.

Wanna know what seperates them from others?

They are citizens FIRST and officers SECOND.
