San Francisco Gun Ban

mixontourmixontour Member Posts: 39 ✭✭
Anybody hear about this 'Proposition H' to ban all handguns in the city of San Francisco? It also does not grandfather previous ownership, like DC and Chicago. All firearms are to be handed in to Police within 90 days if this legislation goes through.

250tommy.jpg
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature, and has no chance of being free unless made or kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

This has been talked about for a few years, so it doesn't surprise me that it finally made the ballot. San Francisco is a cesspool of humanity. They already have some of the most restrictive gun laws in the country. This is just the next step of the Liberal extreme handing their fate over to criminals, thugs, hoodlums, and psychopaths. Liberalism IS a mental disorder. It is a total lack of self-preservation. It is the embodiment of self-victimization.

A city that prides itself on inviting the disease-ridden, unmotivated, chemical dependent, and mentally disturbed elements of our society within its border (while stripping rights away from those responsible citizens who actually support the community) should be washed away from the face of this planet.

Washington D.C.'s murder rate TRIPLED after passing a similar measure. Will they NEVER learn???

SF Police Officers Association and the Association of Retired Peace Officers are among the 15 civic organizations on record opposing proposition H.

I hope the people in SF are "at least" as smart as the ones in Brazil. [;)]

People that will not defend their rights...with force of arms, if necessary...deserve nothing less then the loss of those rights.

We the American people have been tried and found ....lacking enough manhood to defend our rights.

Given that this law is passed. Would 1000 men stand forth and kill the first King's Man that approached to enforce this law..what do you suppose would occur ? Martial Law..and the beginning of the Third American War for Independence...?

When Martial Law is declared, it is too late, your rights are gone, any semblance of rights anyway. Don't let it get to that point. This will be the first of the MAJOR cities to fall. Then one more, then two more, then six on the same day, then it's over-Checkmate! Who here owns property of say 600 acres or more? Seriously, who owns a large piece of property?

    Your rights are gone now.

Martial Law will merely be the official announcement of that fact.

Nobody with that kind of land will stand up and offer it for what I think you desire. Reason ? They will lose it.

While I feel that the loss of rights is enivitable given the complacency of the majority of the country and the atmsphere of take care of me that has permiated the society as a whole, I do believe in the deepest recess of my soul that there will be a section that will stand strong.

Look to Texas, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee and Missouri to be one large area that will resist and most likely band together. There are wide expanses of land and rugged mountainous terrain that could not be easily searched or controlled by the military (speaking as a military person here). We have technology, but back in the woods and open prairies, it is common sense and an understanding of the land that will win out over technology.

SF against a group of backwoods, redneck, bubba hunter (said with deepest admiration)...that would be a fight I would lay money on against the SF boys.

No, I still maintain a small amount of my rights and I'm not throwing in the towel yet. Highball, I know this has been a long hard-fought battle for you but you ain't gotta fight right now, we will. And don't give me any of that rat in your pocket crap, you guys all know what I'm saying. So, Highball you just sit this one out and we'll see what we can accomplish, if it is nothing, then I will expect to hear "I told you so" but not until we have thrown in the towel and since that ain't happenin' you may have to hold that awhile. I do expect alot of input from you though but could you try and be just a little more positive[;)].

I have great respect for you Highball and I hope you can be a driving force in what we are trying to do....I don't know yet, but I'll let yah know when I do.

"I told you so" is the product of a small mind.

You won't hear it from me.
As I explained several times to TRFOX; For 13 years or so before the American Revolution, the colonists petitioned, pleaded, and begged the King for redress. That was an absolutely necessary activity to justify the coming split.

What TR is doing, and what you are doing...is absolutely necessary, also.

San Fran will give into the madness just like a few other big cities have. Not surprising at all. Don't think this will spark the "up in arms" that we hope will happen one day.

Comengetit- as to land owned... my family and I own roughly 10-13K acres in Tennessee. Hope to retire there one day on my little pieces.

As to disarming "rednecks" from the red states that decide to keep their guns and fight for their rights, I know alot back home and if you think the Brownshirts are going to have it easy you need to see these people hunt a bit. They know the woods well, very well and have been shooting since they were 3 or 4. They can hit a target!!

quote:SF against a group of backwoods, redneck, bubba hunter (said with deepest admiration)...that would be a fight I would lay money on against the SF boys.

There would be no contest. The true SF Libs have voluntarily disarmed themselves already. Their preferred battlegrounds are in the courts, on TV news shows, and screaming like children in front of city halls and universities.

If there ever were a scenario where a semi-organized band of citizens were opposing a SF Lib government, then the Libs would be impotent to respond. They would be forced to rely on the military, which itself is mostly made up of redneck bubba hunter types.

The real threat are the Elitists who feel it is okay for them to have the guns, but not for you. There are both "Liberals" and "Conservatives" among them. The Elitists would be able to maintain control of the military because they can pull out their "Patriot" card if they need to (start carting out people like John McCain to rally the troops against the armed "rebels"). Look what happened with the Minutemen, it was the "Conservative" Elitists that stepped up and called them "vigilantes". Dianne Feinstein is a "Liberal Elitist". She spouts the Liberal politics, but she does not buy into the ideology. She thinks that all the common people should live under Socialism, but she would be part of the Elite and still be able to have her gun, her nice houses and cars, and her special priviledges. Its just two sides of the same coin.

Talking dosn't require lots of energy expending'..[:D] So talking I can do.

Knew exactly what you wanted with 'large land'. The problem with that is..they have passed laws that make it very difficult to use that land as you want to..because this gives them the excuse to confiscate it. Neat deal, ain't it ? Steadily institute tyranny..steadily enact laws making it ever more difficult to resist it.

As I have stated many times.
The best procedure is demand of the corrupt politicians a total gun ban. By allowing them to speed up their own plan..they may not get everything in place that they need to totally subdue the citizen...and a mistake on their part now with the amount of information availible to good people all over this country will be fatal to their plans.

    From SF Dept. of Elections:

    Firearm Ban

    PROPOSITION H

Shall the City ban the manufacture, distribution, sale and transfer of firearms and ammunition within San Francisco, and ban City residents from possessing handguns within San Francisco?

    Digest

    by the Ballot Simplification Committee

THE WAY IT IS NOW: State law regulates the manufacture, distribution, transport, import, sale, purchase, possession and concealment of firearms within California. The City and County of San Francisco further regulates the sale of firearms and prohibits the sale or transfer of certain types of firearms within San Francisco.

THE PROPOSAL: Proposition H is an ordinance that would ban the manufacture, distribution, sale and transfer of firearms and ammunition within San Francisco.

Proposition H also would prohibit San Francisco residents from possessing handguns within San Francisco. An exception would allow residents to possess handguns if it is required for specific professional purposes. For example, San Francisco residents who are security guards, peace officers or active members of the U.S. armed forces would be permitted to possess handguns.

The Board of Supervisors would be required to enact penalties for violation of this ordinance.

Proposition H would take effect January 1, 2006. Until April 1, 2006, residents could surrender their handguns to any district station of the San Francisco Police Department or the San Francisco Sheriff's Department without penalty.

The Board of Supervisors could amend this ordinance by a two-thirds vote (66.7%) if it determined that its amendment would further reduce handgun violence.

A "YES" VOTE MEANS: If you vote "yes," you want to ban the manufacture, distribution, sale and transfer of firearms and ammunition within San Francisco, and you want to prohibit-with limited exceptions-San Francisco residents from possessing handguns within San Francisco.

A "NO" VOTE MEANS: If you vote "no," you do not want to ban the manufacture, distribution, sale and transfer of firearms and ammunition within San Francisco, and you do not want to prohibit-with limited exceptions-San Francisco residents from possessing handguns within San Francisco.

ANY domestic violence or charge that COULD have been a felony..back as far as records exist is grounds for denial of weapons...and a federal charge if you buy 'off the books'.

This wasn't the law..until the 'Domestic Violence Act" was passed, a few years ago.

The only reason the liberal elite have power, now, is because their influence is being heard, and accepted. On the day enough people learn they have been betrayed, do you think that influence will hold up?

One thing we have on our side is that once an anti learns the truth, they switch sides. Once a neutral understands the argument, they become inclined to align themselves with the truth. It rarely happens the other way. Why? Because truth can stand on its own. No one likes to be on the wrong side of the argument, save those who think it only applies to everyone else but them.

As for rednecks vs. SF liberal buttwipes, the rednecks would trample them without mercy. Something that will put the good ol' boys at an even stronger position would to convince the good ol' boys that liberals taste like chicken, were directly responsible for the death of Dale Earnhardt, and that they made fun of their momma, and had sex with their wife and sister at the same time, the San Francisco Bay would turn red.

    Death to Tyrants!!!
    Lev 26:14-39

Those who would offer any interpretation that would relegate Amendment II to "relic" status of a bygone era are blatantly stating that the remainder of the Bill of Rights isn't worth a damn, either.

    Luke 22:36.

Gents- and the lady or three that may be around here- I would contend that if you want to preserve your ABILITY to legally own ANY firearm, there are 2 things you need to do religiously- First, vote, and support candidates that support firearm owners. Not just money- volunteer some time for your LOCAL candidates that are running for office- stuff envelopes, answer phones, etc etc. LOCAL laws (like this POS in San Fran) impact us far more than Fed laws- and far more frequently. For a politician that votes the way YOU believe on gun issues- call or write and thank them. Personally, I would like to see every gun shop and range have a poster about voter registration. SECOND- Find a 10 yr old kid- even if you need to borrow one- get the 22s out of the closet- and take the kid shooting. This Saturday. In another 8 years, that kid is going to be the one voting on what you can and cannot do- and his (or her) vote will count as much as yours. And there are more of them than you. If you wait until they are 16- you have missed the target of opportunity- cars, girls, cars will be the interest (for those that debate this, think back to when YOU were 16). We can all talk about "Well, they will have to come dig me out of my bunker." And the truth is, no, they don't. Bunkers are best handled by applying 10 feet of soil with a dozer- and you know it.

"I have good news and bad. Make it through, you don't have to prove anything to anyone the rest of your life. Bad news- you have to prove it to me first." CSM, US Army Ranger School.

I'm sure they call them legal issues.
I call them Weasel issues myself.

Well, thanks to a couple of fatladys at work lying about my conduct, I've been busy taking back my life and screwing theirs up.

    Lessons to be learned:

    1. Live good, shoot straight and tell the truth.
    2. A bad reputation is quickest earned by lying about a person that has lived a good life, once the truth is revealed.
    3. If you have skeletons in your closet, you had best not try to drag others skeletons out.
    4. PhreakyG remembers everything you tell him. So, if you are ready to backstab him, you better not have pictures of yourself in circulation (if you know what I mean) because I have a scanner, and you damn sure better never tell me your man is impotent. 3 people found this out the hard way.
    5. Just because you have nothing in circulation doesn't mean I don't have pictures of you. 2 people found this out, when I sent a set of them to their spouses, time stamped three weeks ago. Big guns are not all I own. Big cameras, too.
    6. Never assume your enemy knows less than you do.

Gotta love citizen special ops. I wish I would have done this for a living. PhreakyG is very patient, and knew who and where to go to in order to carry out my series of plans.

Those who would offer any interpretation that would relegate Amendment II to "relic" status of a bygone era are blatantly stating that the remainder of the Bill of Rights isn't worth a damn, either.

That's all the details I am offering. And believe me, you don't want to see the pictures. Especially of the ones that are trailer trash.

As for me, I am looking for new work, and I may still end up getting my job back, where I was. My future is still uncertain at this moment.
