I am fro austria so please excause my broken english.

ok I'm a 16 year old boy and I shoot the bow since 2003.
at the moment i'm shooting a hoyt defiant xt 2000
but my parents told me to get a new bow as a christmet present.
so I thougt about an mathwes switchback.

can anyone tell sometjing about this bow.
(please tell me if this forum costs some mony))
but i don't think so

an anothertime please excause my broken english.

    Hello Michael. Welcome to the forum. It is free a free discussion forum.

    Many of the people here constantly argue about who makes the better bow: Mathews or Hoyt.

    I really don't have an opinion one way or the other, but there will be people here shortly who can argue about what is the best on the market.[;)]

    how much are you looking to spend? Isn't it easier to get a hoyt over there then it is a mathews?

    Here switchbacks are around 700 or more, thats all i can tell you.

    welcome to the forum. i am new around here myself, but these folks here seem like a great group. i believe the switchback to be a great bow. i have shot several and am impressed by their accuracy and how quiet they are when you shoot them. they are a little expensive, but they are top quality bows. mathews also offers other great bows, such as the outback, legacy, LX, and the FX is the lest expensive. good luck with your decision. what kind of bowhunting do you do in austria?

    This is not an mauser 22
    a mauser 22 is a little bit shorter
    it looked like an old wapon which was build about 1970
    maybe its a rebuild of the wapon that was used by the germans in the second worldwar.


    but i could ask my frien he knows nearly every wepon that was build since 1920
    tomorrow i can bring an wright answer.

    i' right in my answer upside
    it was used by german offiziers

    today there just rebuild wapons
    but most of them are unfunctionall.
    or just tos for children
    with plastik balls.

    Bowhunter welcome to the forum. There are a lot of great bows on the market. If you have the money for the Switchback I would buy it it is the top selling bow on the market and I have not heard one bad thing about it. Its smooth fast small and its a mathews which means it will hols its value real well. What kind of game do you hunt with your bow in Austria.

    Welcome to the forum,. You can't go wrong with a mathews. Like buckey said they are currently the #1 selling bow and hold there value very well.

    hunting isn't alowed in austria cause the "normal hunters" have the only hunting rights.
    you could buy this rights but they do not allow the bowhunt
    they think the dear must suffer when you shoot it with an arrow.

    There is a really hot discusion about it and we all hope that itwould be allowed soon.
    But it is not a big problem for me because I have already 1000_ that is about 1100$ for an hunting trip
    but i don't know where i should get to have you got an idee.

    Sounds odd because there is the European Bowhunting Association.

    The EBA represents 15 European national bowhunting associations from Austria, Germany, France, Spain, Slovenia, Portugal, Croatia, Netherlands, Italy, Great Britain, Hungary, Sweden, Finland, Norway and the independent province of ?land.

    I think someone may be telling you wrong. I think bowhunting is legal in Austria.

    Well, I jsut opened this thread. ( I had been avoiding it because it said "Mathews") I am one of the "smart" guys on here that shoots a Hoyt. I have a buddy that just bought a Switchback. (I know, dumb buddy but what to do?) He really likes it and it is quite and fast. As you'll see, we like to poke fun at each other and have a good time. Mathews should make a fine bow for you. (Not as good as a Hoyt though[:D])
