Havent bowfished for 40 years, but want to try it again. I have two Bear bows about 46 pount pull, Kodiak Magnum, what else do or should I get. I still got a couple of fishing arrows.

Shooting lots of carp. Wanting to get out in the flooded rivers. We get into the big buffalo and freshwater drum.
Good times.
I know we've talked about this before, but does anyone else bowfish?

Not yet but I have been wanting to give it a try also. I just haven't bought the reel and arrows. May actually try it with a traditional type bow.
The guy at my bowshop told me that he could set me up for twenty bones. That seems easy enough to me.

That seems super cheap! I thought reels were more expensive than that.
You can get the ones that are spools where you just reel in by hand.
Shakespeare does make a reel and mount for bows thought that work with the heavier string.
