Sure wish someone had pressured and trapped me into being famous and rich!

I'm only speculating, but of course I mean being pressured into providing company for important members of the community.

Most of the bands they start probably fizzle. They also seem to often be addicted to painkillers. Plus, they do sound kind of angry, not happy at all the attention.

My health crashed in 1990. All kinds of weird problems. I went to all the good and great doctors in Georgia and never got a diagnosis.

Six years later I was in a health food store in Atlanta and a clerk there told me it sounded like heavy metal poisoning. None of the docs had mentioned that.

I managed to get tested, in spite of the ignorant, great and good doctors, and found out that the problem was lead and mercury poisoning. It took another 10 years to get it straightened out and it was really hell on earth. I still suffer, every day, from side effects of this ordeal.

I never found out exactly how I had gotten poisoned but every man on this forum, if he got the proper tests, would show positive for heavy metals. You might cross over into the "toxic" level and you might not.

Living in the modern age we are swimming in a soup of toxins, and some of us get real sick from it, and some don't.

It's almost as if you have no idea what the song lyrics are about.

Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

From which terminal did you depart on the west side? Bremerton?

Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

It's obviously about a homeless person who is not quite all there mentally. The lyrics don't tell why he's there.

The lyric "someday yet he'll begin his life again" and the yearning sound of the song imply it's a younger man who still has hopes and dreams, but is not mentally healthy. It is not some aging wino who has lost hope.

And that's about all the lyrics say and imply.

There is nothing in the song saying it's about a veteran.

There is also nothing in the song saying it's about a person who was pressured by the mob, who resisted, and got a brain injury for it.

Neither theory is supported or ruled out by the lyrics.

I think it's implied though. "Jeremy" seems meant to imply some of the people in their world slip through the cracks in various ways, or in other words, no one cares about some people like the kid who committed suicide in class. "Once" seems to imply the band members were a little interested in criminality or the thug life, and maybe that's why they couldn't have careers but chose rock & roll.

So, let's time this all together.

Grunge is the reason people get heavy metal poisoning, because testosterone fuelled women want it so.

Dude, your theories are bat * crazy..

But that was not your claim before. Changing your tune, if you'll pardon the pun?

Some will die in hot pursuit

Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain

The music raised awareness of trafficking and now rock & roll is much less popular.
