I found this old drill type tool back in 1978 in a house I just bought. I've been carting it around since then and have never found out what is is or used for. Its like an old hand drill only it rotates back and forth not a complete revolution 180 degrees clockwise 180 degrees counterclockwise.
Anybody ran across one of these before?

L head. engine valve grinding tool. Used one on a ford V8 engine.

Have used them a lot back in the day grinding valves .wish I had one now .
I like the discovery of old tools and to learn what/how they were used. Cool stuff.

I just saw some on ebay not very much money some had the attachment tools too
Thought this was Politics Forum and Biden was the old tool.
You guys must be really old. 😀 I am 79 and that was before my time. I always used the stick with the rubber cup on the end.----------------Ray
