Good News + Lucky Find ,,,,,,
Last week I’m laying in the ER with a pain in my chest, like a concrete block being placed on it. A bunch of young nurses hooking up IV’s and sticking electrode connections here, there and everywhere. The ‘blood sucker’ was relieving me of a quart, or so it seemed.
I was convinced I was having the ‘big one’. In comes this tiny young lady (my right leg weighed more then her), and introduced herself as the ER Doctor ; ,,,,, I didn’t know med schools were graduating 16 year olds ,,, 😉
She said my heartbeat was considerably more then 200 bpm and another young lady was standing by with an injection of Profofol to put me to sleep and she would ‘stop’ my heart.
Whoa, wait ,,,,,, I’m remembering Profofol killed M. Jackson. Now I’m a little nervous when the little Doc said don’t worry, “I won’t forget to start it”.
She ask if I was sleepy and I said no ,,,,,,,, next thing I knew I woke up and no more chest crush, no more rapid breathing ,,,,,,,, I felt good and sat up on the edge of the gurney and ask the Doc if I had a heart attack.
Nope, she said. And the ‘blood sucker’ showed up with the results,,,,,, Doc took one look and said here’s the problem. My blood sodium was critically low. Low blood sodium is a discussion for another time.
One of the young nurses was pulling off all the electrical wires along with removing the IV and taking the oxygen off. I’m sitting there putting on my shirt and glance down at a bright ‘sparkle’ under the front edge of a cart against the wall. I ask if she could see it and ‘yes’ she could. She walked over, picked it up and handed it to me.
So, gentlemen and ladies, what was it ????
I’ll patiently wait your answer. 😉

Why didn't you ask the nurse when she gave it to you! Don
First and most importantly, glad you're doing okay! Whew!
As for what was under the edge of the cart... If it was bright and shiny I'm guessin' it wasn't a Glock. Did someone have a nickel 1911 hid out in the ER? Maybe a 1903/8?
Your salt shaker?
An empty 22 lr shell. They seem to turn up everywhere.
She didn’t know ,,,,,, I suggested an eye exam.. 😂
glad your okay. I had six major heart attacks, including two widow makers. Trust me when I tell you, you wouldn't feel anything if it was a heart attack ,like the symptoms you had. I didn't feel a thing, just collapsed. One heart attack I had sharp pain in the left side of my head and then couldn't breath. I ended up with 7 stents and bypass surgery. My heart is 98% good, which is a miracle in itself. I feel fantastic. If you start feeling chest pains, arm pains, head pains of trouble breathing, get to a doctor .
Bill,
Glad to hear you came through unscathed and all cylinders are back under governor control.
As far as the guess, a gold tooth cap that blew across the room from when the youngster shocked you to jump start you?

Sure glad you're doing OK forge! Sounds pretty scary going in but since they got you back up and running, I will guess that the doc and the nurse made a bet and had a coin toss. That shiny thing under the cart was the quarter they used. Medical people are kind of strange that way.
Very good, you knew that propofol killed Michael Jackson.
What procedure did they do while you were out? Did they cardiovert you?
Glad your better. Was the shiny thing the keys to your new Corvette?
The Hope diamond. I seem to have lost it somewhere and will split the value with you 50/50 for finding it. 😁
Glad they got your problem under control. Hopefully they gave you some tips on preventing it's reoccurring. As I get older, more and more doctors look like they just got out of high school. Bob
*************Ding, Ding, Ding ,,,,,,, we have a winner. **************😉
It’s not the Hope Diamond but a diamond, approx size of a BB.
I ask the nurse to see if any of the ladies might have lost it out of their ring. She came back with a no answer.
I told the Doc if it was in fact a real diamond I would have it appraised/sold and the funds could be distributed to all who were jumping thru hoops taking care of me. I’ve already taken three dozen cookies from local bakery, with a thank you note, to the ER.
Holy cow!! Sure glad you got through that, scary stuff. Take care of yourself.
Glad to hear you are Ok, and I was gonna guess a diamond, but saw i got beat to the punch by Bob.
You could always have it made into a tasteful nose or lip stud!😁

A great idea. Would make a stellar front sight on a 1911.

If you have the diamond implanted in a front tooth you may find you have a new affinity for rap music.
Glad to hear everything turned out ok, Forge. That would be a scary situation for sure.
glad your OK
They found your favorite belly button ring ?
Glad you came out fine. What was the cause? Drinking to much water can cause it I have seen a few guys get all jacked up from forced hydration. Nothing like that but they get woozy and confused.
