Martha and I took a little walk tonight.....
It rained off and on all day so she was hiding out in haybales down by the shop. She showed up in the late evening and sat with me on the front porch for a little while. I got her some fresh food and rubbed her belly until something caught her eye out by the bean field.
We walked around the edge and up the fence row. I took the opportunity to check a couple pods. Things are looking promising on the beans for at least an average year. With all the drought around us this year I was happy to see this.
Martha disappeared into the beans and did not follow me as I headed on down the driveway to look at the sunset. I started taking pics and I could hear her "Chirping" at me from about 75 yards away. She walked out of the beans and ran all the way down the drive to catch up. She sat on my feet and just hung out..
We watched the sunset and listened to the yotes singing across the neighbor's field...Tooks some more pics and headed back to the porch for a cold drink and some belly rubbing...It was a good day with a pretty ending
Hope you all had a good Friday !!!

I've started walking/running two miles a day in preparation for deer season as well as the renaissance festival in November. I'm babysitting a mini-dachshund for #3 while her new house is built. Puppers name is Cookie. So, anywho, Cookie and I walk/run every morning. Max, the gray and white tabby cat, has decided he wants to join us. I get about 100 yards down the road and he pops out of the driveway onto the road having a fit, wanting us to wait while he catches up to us.
I have quite the parade somedays going up and down the gravel road. #1 is my neighbor and she has a dachshund as well. So, somedays I have two dachshunds, a beagle, a gray tabby cat, a blue heeler, and four mixed breed puppers all trailing or leading me. I carry a bull whip in case the goats try to follow me. I'm sure the folks who pass me in the morning have figured out that a crazy woman lives at 369 N-2.
@William81 prognosticators say that we have a possibility of rain tomorrow. Hopefully some of it is headed your way.
I understand....my neighbors are not too sure about me either ! The rain is welcome if it comes....even if it is really too late to make any difference in the corn and beans. But the hay will be happy !
Martha is so stinkin cute, the sunsets beautiful.
Oh yeah!!!
a pack of cats and dogs and a lady with a bullwhip, thats not even normal for backwoods West Virginia !!!!!!!!!!
She is a purdy cat.....and I think she knows it !!
