When was the last time that Jasper, or Scout5 checked in?

And Smitty500mag. I hope he is ok.
Jasper never made the switch to the new forum, and has no auction account to sign in to
Scout last looked in back in August.
Select Fire?
I want Earl Boydell.
We lost many members when we switched to new forums, both times.
Then we lost an additional bunch when we went to 'one sign in' with auction side account as 'control'. Many members did not have an auction side account. They also have chose not to sign up. Miss many of them, but, their choice.
Fishkiller and Pwillie

Tapwater -used to converse with him. I just checked it's been 15 years!! 🙁
DAV1965..........?

@Aztngundoc22 ? I always enjoyed his whats cookin messages, his health wasn't doing well and I see his last post was November 2021...
Dave had some real health issues too, but regardless he has no auction account. I believe all with no auction accounts were tramped in late 2021.
I remember the health issues, the best I remember is he was taking every known narcotic all prescribed by various doctors fighting his cancer in humongous doses and it showed in his writings/postings on here. I hope he survived the meds and the disease.

How about @shilowar ? Where is he lately?

We need a "WOW" button for that one! 15 years, time flies!
Tapwater was on forums in July of last year.

"Pwillie" - Paul - The Christmas card I sent to his Spanish Fort, Alabama address was returned - but I got a one word "Thanks" to the digital card I e-mailed to him.
"Aztngundoc22" - Dennis - has some health problems and moved to Lockhart, Alabama to be with his daughter and son-in-law.
Best Regards - AQH
When I first started on here there were 3 members who I looked forward to seeing post.
Bert H
Nononsense
Mark Christian
Their technical knowledge always kept me interested. Marks passing really hit me hard even though we never actually spoke directly. I wish the other 2 were still posting.
Elmurto Monkey?
A lot of good people have passed thru the forum so much great information and knowledge not counting the interesting stories from such a wide range of back grounds
A few good people sharing their last days on earth sharing their thoughts with us
Unfortunately a few that have passed thru that fabricated stories that had us truly feeling sorry for them and their conditions to find out it was just a made up story some people
I will never understand why they would do such things Other than attention of course
Some were truly out there but fun to read their post like old Earl B
Woodshed and oakie all the efforts they put into Christmas giveaways for the kids
Doc who was the professor and gun guy who shared photos of his collections he had no kids but always donated bikes and toys to his local needy kids
I wish I could remember all the names but any more just remembering is a chore
It's hard to believe the time and people who have come and gone since I joined in 2000
To all the members now in the happy hunting grounds may they RIP
Thomasconnor.....😉
Careful now!
Indeed.

Marc1301 from Florida, I truly hope he is okay, the cook from Missouri named Dan, he was a former insurance salesman that raised peppers. I think 1911A1fan.
We have lost many friends for one reason or the other.
Life is cruel in many ways, it's up to us to hold them up in a graceful memory, or move on.
I miss many of the men I first met on this forum, but sadly they are gone.
This evening I raise my glass to Kristof, JamesRK, Mateo, and Zipper.
Shilo is still on FB
Man for pure entertainment... Eboydell
I miss Clouder
and what about that Worls Clas act his 10/22s would shootout a ants eye at 1000 yards in a hurricane, whiteout snowstorm.
GitRDone, Dennis Neilson, Ehler Dave, Zink
BSR and his stories.
@shilowar lived between JimDeere & me. I tried contacting him back then but his email didn't work & he faded away.
@trawler was I think originally trawlernet? He moved to Haines, Alaska & lost his house in a major mud slide. He & his wife moved to Juneau? & then he faded out.
Hope they're both OK
Hairy was always interesting.
When someone dies, all that we know is that they quit posting. In rare instances a friend or family member who knew they were active on here may give us a head's up. But with most, we never know for sure what happened to them. That is the way it will be for me, too.
I lurked in the shadows for over 10 years before finally joining in. I don't think there has been a week that I haven't looked in at least once in the past 20-odd years, and usually several times a week. At least since I retired I don't feel as though I should be out doing something constructive as often as I used to.
I do miss reading stuff from James the retired naval officer; the retired cop from new jersey; the guy who lost a leg in an IED blast in the Mideast; the list goes on and on but I can't remember their user names any more.
My wife ask me a couple yrs back when I kick off how to share the joy LOL
I mean sadness with the GB forum
I told her it's all in the password notebook we keep
At least 15 years ago member 358Winchester who I only knew through this forum, held onto all of my guns while I was out of the country on deployment.
Trap55 is another close friend I don’t see posting any longer, he is the reason I learned to reload.
My Dad was also quite a notorious character on this forum.
I Barely remember 358Winchester, but here is a front page thread for Trap55
Your Dad a notorious character? Ha, yes he was. Ahhh, the good old days!
I liked zipperzap. He had a fascinating story, he and his pal were camping out in New Mexico at midnight they saw a UFO land on the far hill. They watched it for 15 minutes and it flew off. Very believable story.
Also, like me zipperzap had made many vacations to Mexico and we enjoyed sharing stories.
Sadly, his wife chimed in one day with his funeral notice.
I also miss Wild Man Dennis Neilsen and the sad story of his little pet deer.
My wife and I, went out to dinner with Dave and his wife in NC, about 4 years ago. I could hardly understand what Dave was saying, because of his tongue and throat cancer. I can tell you, he was a very nice gentleman and his wife was absolutely wonderful. My wife and I enjoyed their company. Very good, down to earth people. Dave was nothing like he was on the forums. The man is the salt of the earth, as was his lovely wife 😉.
Okay, who was the damn Doctor that faked his death, then died??? He really pissed me off, after all the nice things we all said and the care we showed him.😣.
I have been a member since Feb, 2000 and seen a lot of people come and go. Two that touched me very much were, Whiteclouder and Searchers5. Both their deaths really effected me, as well as Marks passing this year.
I always told Donna, if anything happens to me, please post it on Gunbroker, so everyone can have a good laugh.
I also made some life long friends on here. Chris Streett and Roger,(OL Woodshed and his wife Dori. I speak to them every week. Funny how Chris and I live states apart, and have homes in the mountains, less then ten miles from each other.
I really like every person on here, for their unique characters, Knowledge and friendships. Thanks everyone for 23 great years on the forums. John (Oakie) Taggart. And Yes, Oakie really is my real middle name. Thanks Dad. 😉😊
Rambo Rebel, bigt7mm, Dreher, mogley, ram bo rebel & Get R Done were all from S. Carolina I believe.
"Okay, who was the damn Doctor that faked his death, then died???"
Spartacus was the name he went by on the forums. I believe his real name was Dr. Thomas Plumeri. He fooled a bunch of folks, myself included. Burned that name into my memory, along with a couple others.
I really need to work on my forgiveness skills.
I miss many
I miss BSR. I admired his tenacity. You either liked him or did not. i liked him. Come to think of it, I liked a lot of the members that are now missing. -----------Ray
Pabooger. Also Mabooger. There may have been other Boogers as well. And Patbuzzard. Pat was a moderator for a while. He and Mark C. didn't get along at all. Eventually Pat left and Mark stayed, benefitting the forum greatly.
