I know for you folks in the areas that see an abundance of snow every year this isn't much. Spent multiple winters driving around Minnesota so I'm good. Around here, folks not so much.
Prognosticators are predicting rain turning to snow, maybe. Maybe a dusting, maybe 10 inches. Will start around 6 pm this evening. Kids in Northwest Arkansas are a solid prediction of 6 to 10 inches of snow. Oklahoma is already getting hit by it. Weather peeps are saying they are getting up to 2 inches an hour in some places.
We may get thundersnow which is cool, but dangerous. Texas is getting tornadoes out of this same weather as it moves north and east. As long as its not ice, I'm fine with whatever hits. I'm prepped with plenty of summer sausage, cheese, crackers, olives and beer (redneck charcuterie). 😉 That's my must haves, not bread, milk and eggs. I have no desire to make French toast during a snowy day.

The only thing predictable about the weather is it’s unpredictable.
So far just wet and cold in my part of Texas, just north of Ft. Worth. Hearing of snow farther north.

Predicted to have 3-6" of snow tomorrow. The local news shows are already showing the snowplow prep and cautioning that the roads will be AWFUL! My goodness, it sounds like a snowpocalypse! And yeah, the grocery store was busy today when I made my normal weekly trip. The storm is going to be all my fault because I just washed my vehicle and that usually brings bad weather. Bob

Susie I know you will do ok. Hope you are able to help others out who aren't. BTW, I still chuckle over the TP shortage that hit in early 2020 and how I had stocked up a bit on TP because you said it was one of your SHTF prepping items (well before the year 2020 was even a glimmer).

Snowing here in Ozark County, MO. Starting to stick a little bit.
Utah has in excess of 160 inches in the mountains, and six or so in the valleys. But we know how to drive in it. (Some don't know how to ski or snowmobile in it however, and we already have fatalities due to avalanches.)

They got it right on the start time. A little after 6, huge wet snowflakes started falling.
Probably around 6 inches of wet snow on the ground here. Last night we took both Jeeps out and played in it. Today I have a trail ride going on. It will probably all be gone in a couple days.
Actually did get some snow last evening, but it didn't stick, looking out the window this morning it's just a muddy mess.
We got about five inches. Will be gone within a day or so. Temps will be in the 40s during the day for the next two or three days. It's good snowman building snow.
Where I live in Meigs County Ohio we have a lot of cold dampness in winter, not too far below freezing and not too far above either. If we do get snow it does not last long. What we have an overabundance of is MUD. When you walk in the yard you get muddy, when you drive a four wheeler out to the fields you get mud. Mud get on everything, clay mud, heavy and wet. The damp cold is horrid if you have joint issues the mud is horrid because it limits what you can do outside for four months of the year. Over the past 20 years I have had to use the tractor and bucket maybe three or four times to clear snow on the driveway. After a few days the snow is gone and we are back to mud and more mud.
I feel your pain. I have clay soil. It exists in two states, boot sucking mud or clay pot brick. Joke around here is "oh look, precipitation, we were almost out of mud."
I joke that I am slowly in the process of remediation with goat droppings. 😆 🤣
My sister sent me this picture and the next snowman I make for the grandkids will be a copy! Since I retired some years ago I replaced the word LAZY in my vocabulary with the word INGENUITY! 😁
I still have the same 10 to 12 inches that I had back in December.

Snowing now. Again. Or perhaps "still" since we've had snow almost every day. It accumulates to as much as six inches, then either melts or compresses down to two or so. Over and over again. The ski resorts report as much as 15 feet of snow total so far. The rub is that the roads to the resorts are closed as much as they're open, so crews can do avalanche mediation. Record year for avalanches, too.
Found something else as unpredictable as the weather yesterday, corn prices. We put corn out for the deer and critters when there is snow on the ground, enjoy watching them from the porch window. But at $20 for a bushel of corn at the store. Well, we’ll still put it out for them, I guess when I think about it they feed us through the rest of the year.
Did you get to any point where you needed to use 4wd on that trail?

I'm in 4wd low for the majority of our trail rides. In my Jeep and Toyota 4Runner 4low disables the traction control. Using 4low keeps yours transmission cool and applies all the engine torque and gearing to your wheels / tires, where you want it. It also allows you to crawl down hills in 1st gear at 2 mph without having to ride the brakes.
I frequently will see / hear vehicles revving the crap out of their engines and can tell they aren't using 4low. Usually it's really noticeable when they are trying to climb over a rock ledge and failing at it. Using 2wd just tears up expensive tires and expensive suspension components in the hills and rocks we have here in the Ozarks.
The trail that we were on Wednesday is a 4 to 5 hour trail. Other than the normal rocks, ledges, and creek crossings encountered there are 4 "difficult" for some areas. The 1st is rocky stair step descent:

The last / 4th section is another steep muddy hill climb with a rock ledge in the middle of it. We had a somewhat newbie in a newer 4 door Rubicon who needed to winch over that ledge Wednesday.
