Definition taken from the web:
The term “charcuterie” refers to the preparing of cured meats, like prosciutto, bacon, salami, etc., but these days when people say charcuterie, they are usually referring to a fun, meat and cheese board that typically includes cured meats, a variety of cheeses, crackers, nuts, fruits and vegetables, and dipping sauces ...

....I can eat that entire tray in, 9 gobbles
(remember that game show- I can name that tune in,,,)
Thanks, now I am hungry !!!! 😬
There's an artsy-fartsy high-end home accessories/decor store here that sells slabs of walnut they put a 'charcuterie' tag on and sell 'em for $150. I've got enough scrap walnut layin' around to make 30 or 40 of them. I think the word 'charcuterie' actually means 'expensive scraps'.
Finger food. Except if you use your fingers, you are uncivilized.
Sounds like a word my late aunt used to say when she pinched my chubby cheeks as a little boy! 😲
Snack trays sure have come a long way since cheese & crackers! YUM!
There is a facebook group that my daughter keeps up with where people post their creations. She will send me a pic here and there of some.....its amazing what some people come up with. I can't lay things out normal without screwing around and eating parts of it before I'm done.
Look at that bow! How adorable
Yum yum ....
It looks real nice but where is the blue cheese and the olives???
And here is my version aka "Redneck Charcuterie".
Your version is what Denise makes up also. I have yet to turn it down. Good job.
I don't know what it is about olives but I have never acquired a taste for them. A thin sliced black olive on a good pizza is the only exception. Most likely because they become diluted with all the other toppings.
gotta agree, every few years I think those look good and try a bite either balck or green then spit it out and say still nasty.......
It ain’t red neck unless that is Velveeta.

And it also has the incorrect cracker to meat & cheese ratio and where is the paper plate or paper towel it should be presented on....🤣
Redneck would not have olives but would have sardines and or vienna sausages.
Rednecks don't eat bait!

It would not be Velveeta, it would be a can of Chedder Cheese whiz. Don
Food is a meal in itself.
That looks YUMMY!!!!
Yup, looks great, Susie. The others are "artsy" but yours is just down home inviting.
I don't think I've bought Velveeta more than once or twice in my entire life, and that was only to make a dip. It's not cheese and I could never push myself to eat it.
I have a cheese drawer in fridge. There is a place north of Springfield headed towards Kansas City called Osceola Cheese. They sell a bajillion different cheeses and wines fr the local wineries. Love that store.
I ate the entire rhing the evening I posted the pic. It was some mighty good eatin'.
Unless it's deep fried.😂
We are twins! I never eat Velveeta except for a few times it was prepared as dip. I also have a cheese drawer! I love different cheeses and at various times we might have a dozen types in that drawer. I do have to admit that Larry is a huge fan of shredded cheese.....he will dribble it over everything he eats if he can. So, there is a giant bag of that stuff in there. It feels like cheese flavored grass to me, so I'm not a fan.
I ran into a soft cheese with black pepper in it one day called "No woman no cry" cheese at Publix that was awesome. I've hoped to run into it again....but I've only seen it online since then.
I have been teaching myself how to say it 😂 there's a new restaurant in town dedicated to them😳 they call it The Board Room 🤣

I'm in!
They are building an establishment in Erie, PA called the board room. Not sure if it's a meat and cheese place or just a bar with a clever name.
