Bobby goes by Kiddie Bob and the newest Boodlebug🙄 Ladd, Loddie Doddie. I'm sure I can think of more... We had a Pug named Pugsley lol we didn't name him, he was a rescue, came to us at about 6 years old... My mom called him Pumpkin... Then he some how by the time he passed away at 19 he was Dumbkin on his vet chart....

We named our cat Junior mainly because when we got him from the shelter he was so tiny, he easily fit in the palm of my hand. I was going to name him Tiny but was overruled by the wife who reminded me how much I hated that ukulele playing Tiptoe through the Tulips guy.

I call him J. R. sometimes but he will come to just about anything I call him. I'm also glad I didn't win back when we named him. He is now so FAT these days, Garfield would be proud!

My little rescue Chihuahua Lilly, we call her silly Lilly. She won't let you near her, unless you lay down, then she will jump right on you. Our blind schnauzer Isabella, we call her dizzy Izzy. Constantly walking into furniture. I went from raising Labrador Retrievers for hunting, to these small guys and wouldn't ever go back.!!!!

I once owned a "Yorkie" named Mario. My kids helped give him a name during the time that video game was at its height in popularity. The smallest dog with the biggest disposition I have ever seen!! I called him BEAR because of that and always said if a Yorkie was a large breed they would make pit bulls look like butterfly's!

    Part 2

I was interrupted by a trip to the ER

we have roadster found him on the road as a tiny lost kitten in the middle of no where

Hobo my son named as he found him about 10 yrs ago on the RR old depot

Stevie ray a blind cat about 11 yrs old we got she came from a local big box store as a sick tiny kitten so named her after the the two blind singers

You would never know it just watching her though

Bird because he has a sploch of white on his back that looks like a bird pooped on him

Little mom cat we gained her when she was pregnant she is a tiny cat

Handsome he was a stray that took time to make buddies with wire gave him the name just a big baby now

As for the dogs butch our dachshund

We call him butch weiner or weiner dog

Our huskie has several names from laughti to betty bad a... s to bossy and so on depending on how she is acting at the time if you been around or owned a husky you will know

Our pound hound Macie some times called little girl She is far from that

I never liked cats but over time and the fact my wife loves them I gave in and make sure their all taken care of

I don't want to discuss vet and food bills just say I could have the vacation home if not for the cost lol

We named our first Manx cat “Dufus”. Was a fun name and a great cat.

That cat caused my wife and mother to start a Manx breeding, showing and selling program that lasted a long time. They eventually started breeding Scottish foot cats as well. Did very well in the show arena. I ended up building them a “Cat House”.

Our Mini Aussie is named "Buddy". I have seen someone else on here with a dog named Buddy.

My wife likes to call him "Honcho" when he gets rowdy!!

To my mind it is wholly irresponsible to go out into the world incapable of preventing violence, injury, crime, and death. How feeble is the mindset to accept defenselessness, how cheap, how cowardly, how pathetic. Ted Nugent.

I call my dogs Maverick and Goose. And the cats Bogey and MiG.

Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

J J and Fat Freida (Beagles of Course). J J was a psychopath who loved his people, but hated everyone else and was a crackerjack rabbit dog. When I brought him home as an 8 week pup, he proceeded to attack my adult dogs. He still loved to hunt at 13 yo, even though his front legs would sometimes collapse and his nose plow into the dirt. Fat Freida was afraid of all men, except me,

My grandfathers beagle was called HOBO because he looked like he was always homeless.

We have not named any animals many crazy names. Current cat is Harley and that was because we got him and his brother at the same time and called his brother Willie G.

Our cat has Martha Washington on her vet file. She farted a lot when she was a kitten, so I often call her Martha Fart when I talk to her..

Just happened to think of an old beagler's tip. Never give your dog a name that will embarrass you when you have to yell it in public

  • Lady Rae Lady Rae Member Posts: 2,346 ✭✭✭✭

I had a dog like Ken's but she was a female. Her name was Cedar, called her Ceedy Lou... Oh gosh sometimes I just have to go find where she is buried to sit by her. Another rescue, she actually moved in with us. We think she was around 4 when she came to us... We think she was at least 17 when she left. I miss that massive body next to me and of course Lad would be by the side of my bed.

Darn! This is sooooo true!! Our newest member of the family was nearly a year old when we adopted her and was given the name "Lela", which we decided to keep as she seemed very set to it. Being in the hound family of dog types, she also has a very stubborn streak which causes many situations where I am found hollering out the back door at all hours of the day and night!!

Pretty sure all of my neighbors (who are at the closest about a quarter mile away) know exactly what my dogs name is!!

Pindah Likoyi, The Easter Puppy, Defender and Gaurdian of our home, Champeen P%ssy Magnet, and Spirit Brother. He was a Shepard mix that lived to be almost 16.

We have a 6 month old tortoise shell kitten, The Princess Carmen San Diego, the Turtle Cat, Destroyer of Laptops. She is looking for a forever home.

Yellow naped Amazon, Max, also called Mad Max, or Mean Max Green.

Mona Ramona Abby Marshmallow, 10 month old stray that came to us already spayed. When we found that out I wanted to let her go or teach her to be indoor/outdoor but the warden says no.

Roz the hairless cat. The name is ridiculous because she looks like a little alien from Roswell, NM

I used to recruit for the NRA until they sold us down the river (again!) in Heller v. DC. See my auctions (if any) under username henryreilly

Over my lifetime the family has taken in quite a few stray cats that found their way to my doorway. The females always went to a vet and were fixed.

I have always wondered if I ever paid to have neutered a cat that was already neutered???? Sure cannot tell with females! Could be a veterinarian cash cow! 😲

With the way you take care of him he probably will... From the day she moved in she slept with me and got good food... Then in her final days she was eating ground turkey cottage cheese and angel hair pasta. I would just end up eating it to.

We have a stray cat with a limp, that hangs around our deck. We have taken up calling him Keyser Soze. Anytime he is walking through the yard he is limping along. Rattle the food bucket and his limp gets put on hold, as he runs to come eat.
