My neighbors Dachshunds
My 26 year old neighbor, has two dachshunds, Fred and Minnow. She is a new police officer in town, single and very nice young lady. Everyday, her dogs escape out of the yard when I come home, and come to visit me. Today, she walked over to retrieve the dogs and we started talking. She said to me, I can't figure out why these two dogs love you so much. They bite my brother and friends, whenever they come over. They come see you, and they are all wagging tails and looking for belly rubs. I then showed her my secret. I have two small carrots, all cut up for them😋. I figure since my dogs love them and they are good for them, I would try to make friends with my new next door neighbor dogs. Took a while, but now they don't growl and bark at me. Instead, they want some affection and treats.
She then asked me if my 29 year old son was single. 😮. Well kind of. He is seeing a girl, but doesn't want to stay in the relationship. Now, Do I tell my son, or just tell her where he works and lives??? She drives right by his place everyday. Maybe she could accidently stop in or, Just pull him over!!!LOL. Things are looking up in the neighborhood. By the way, she is very pretty. I also found out from her, That her father and I, worked together, over 35 years ago. He is stopping by this weekend to say hi.

Have her dogs visit when your boy is around. She’ll come over, you’ll introduce everyone, nature does the rest.

just my opinion but it say stay out of the kids love life, if you push them together and they then break up it would be your fault, if he leaves the current one it may end up your fault for not letting it go, drop a hint or two but let them work it out, maybe plan for them to bump into each other at your place, after he gets rid of the current one, the dogs could get loose when he is there and she might need help to catch them........good luck either way Oakie
I couldn't agree more.
What would your dad have done?
Me? I'd tell the boy.
My late wife's Maltese; Shih Tzu cross loved those "baby carrots" from Aldi's.
If she's a good cop, she'll find him on her own. 😉
You need to have him come by.... If you have him over and just happened to have some of her mail you could send it over to her via him. If he takes a long time to come back she caught his attention. Maybe send some cut up carrots over with him.
I say let him follow cupids arrow on his own..... some do but most set-ups seldom work out for the best.

Kasey, This is why I love you!!!! Your a good problem solver. Thank you. Oakie
We all want to know when the wedding is.😉
Sounds like the making of a new TV series😄
A friend's son broke up with his long-time girlfriend shortly before senior prom.
One day he wandered into the kitchen while his mother was fixing supper and asked her if she had any ideas about who he could take to the prom.
She looked out the window and could see a friend's house. They had a daughter a year younger than her son and he'd been on high school academic teams with her so mom suggested he take neighbor's daughter.
They now have three kids.😎

I've heard stories about those highschool PROMS but WOW! 😁
A long, long time from now. He has no intentions of getting married any time soon. That is the problem with the current GF. She want a marriage and he told her he is not ready. She keeps asking and all she has succeeded in doing, is push him further away. She is a nice girl, but definitely not wife material. Very immature 27 year old.
When this new lil gal through the cuffs on him and tazes him all the way down the aisle,,,,,
Before this gets too much farther along, I'll caution you, and by extension your son, that being married or even in a relationship with a police officer can be very difficult. It is especially so with a female officer. They ain't like other girls! Been there, doin' that.
That said, I'd still let him know she inquired about him.
