Vivek Ramaswamy on 2A
Well, the last time I posted about Vivek, I couldn't dig up much about his stance on 2A (and the thread ended up getting locked... let's avoid that this time, shall we? We shall. 👮).
In a VERY 2A friendly environment, he expounds his views on the second amendment and the founding documents, actually. I will say that it appears the framework from which he speaks would seem to guide what he says no matter the environment. So take this/that for what it's worth. The downsides I note: it appears he is still formulating some of his political ideas. You see it happen live in this interview. In any case, this interview covers the entirety of the range of 2A related issues that I like seeing addressed in this type of discussion from compromise, to NFA, to intent of 2A, to modern interpretation. I largely have my opinions formed about Vivek now. Hopefully this will help you shape yours. Cheers!

Whether you like Vivek or not, you can't deny that they guy can speak intelligently about almost everything. I like him and I like his style. But he can't win. Yet.
I also like the interviewer. Good style. Doesn't get too involved, let's Vivek talk, contributes with good sense.
Thanks for the video. That's 2 good links in a row, Mr P. Gotta be some kind of record, yeah? 😁

Yep. You'll get what you get and don't throw a fit! 😁
I like Vivek's response to the question at 15:30 in the video. Man....I really wish Vivek had more than a snowball's chance to get the nomination. If he was the conservative candidate, I'd go out and campaign for him.

Thanks for the video MR P.
What I like about him is like Trump, he is not a politician or a lawyer.

A few years back something similar was said about obama and look what happened. Then we got joe and we're still suffering.
No confidence here. The DUDE is a politician, he says what the audience wants to hear. If he's talking, he's lying--no doubt what so ever. YMMV
Those are good examples, for sure. Pandering to special interests and hating American freedoms & ideals seems to be the fast track to the top.
I think I'm right about Vivek, though. There's no way he carries the deep south or the heartland with that name or that skin tone. And as good as he is in a 1-1 setting, he's crap in the group format which tells me he hasn't yet learned the ways of speaking his mind and convincing the room at the same time.
If politics is indeed the guy's career path, then governor or senator would seem the logical next step for success.
But what do I really know? The guy could be a power-mad liar. We are talking politics after all.

At first when I listened to him at the beginning of his campaign I thought, maybe, but I have changed my mind. He will say at the time what he thinks you want to hear. When someone keeps saying: that’s a good question, it means he has been practicing to answer that question. He has back tracked on a lot of things he was saying at the start of his campaign in order to cover up what he originally said. My opinion, he’s a want to be politician. He reminds me of someone at a pep rally.
As far as who has caught my attention, and I know he’s a dark horse in the race, is, Doug Burgum.
I haven’t mastered the art of being able to put videos up yet. But check him out on the second amendment, I feel he is a staunch supporter of the second amendment.

It all sounds good compared to what we have. Is there one politician that hasn't lied to get elected?
@Mr. Perfect Thank you.
Well if he would perform as good as he talks, he would be an awesome president.......
Agreed. I don't think he's going to get that opportunity any time soon, however.

Agreed. Also as Kevin pointed out above, it is usually not successful to come out of nowhere and reach for the top chair. Unknowns usually start a pay grade or two down.
Austin Petersen is a case in point.
