FFl transfer
Hey I am fairly new.
OK to start I have a serious medical issue so I choose not to drive. Of course I have I.D from the state of Florida. Just like a driver's. I.D with holographic images.
So ,I went to pick up my Glock and every one ,has to ask why didn't I buy it there. Cause it's a hundred bucks cheaper. ! These are big dudes and intimidating. Long story short, they would not accept my Florida I.D card. The guy said that anyone could get a I.D card. Not true ,I showed my birth certificate,SSN ,and proof of residency! Then he asked if I got a water bill, for municipal activities. I said no. I live on a well. My power bill is electronic. I asked a few more questions and he said he was done going back and forth and to leave.
Any clue of what to due?? I feel like crap , it took a while to save up to afford this glock. I don't drive. It's ...tough

First of all this is not the correct place to post this so I will move it to the General Discussion forum and second you should have verified with the receiving FFL that they would accept and deliver to you before buying bidding... anyways maybe some of our members can offer you some advice so hopefully go can get your gun. And welcome to Gun Broker forums.
I have accept state id in my state not a problem
State issued ID cards are a normally accepted form of ID. Your transfer FFL is being a jerk in my opinion and you should contact Gunbroker support so they get taken off the transfer dealer network.
I know it doesn't help you in the meantime but at least it'll save the next person the trouble.
Does your ID have your current address on it?
Greentop family owned very large gun store out skirts Richmond. Deed in hand Fluvanna County Home and Utility Bill. No Sale. I did not have a Virginia Drivers License. Still, I walked out with a ton of 28Ga. ammo that i could not find up here in the Communist State of NY.--------------------------------------Ray
Everything is up to date on my I.D card.
I called the shop before I purchased it on gun broker. I asked for THEIR FFL number but all they would give me is email address. This shop has a 4.9 out of 5 stars, I thought it was a reputable shop.Another reason I chose this shop is because they have a gun range. I wanted to shoot, my new glock. Next time , I will choose a pawn shop.
You can call the ATF and have them give the store a call to assure them that the state issued ID is perfectly fine to do the transfer. I'd also let GunBroker know the name of this dealer, so they can take them off the transfer dealer list because nobody needs this kind of nonsense when picking up a gun.
Sorry you're having troubles like this, Floki, but you've found the right place to come to with your problem. These folks seem to know what they're talkin' about!
Thanks so much for the wise words and kindness. I called this morning, first a kind lady spoke to me,I told her the situation
She said that she would speak to some of the guys. The call got disconnected, but they called back ,unfortunately it was the same one who was rude. He said that recalled the argument, that I was the one with the problem.. Unfortunately, he said the owner only takes Driver's license. Said the ATF was really cracking down on FFL transactions. I see discrimination. I asked if they could send it to a local FFL. They said no .They would have to send it back to the original shop in P.A..
Still see discrimination, because I transferred it and saved over a hundred bucks. They treat me differently.
They said maybe a voters registration would help. I see political *.
Why can't we all just get along. One hasn't a clue of what another has gone through or been through. Kindness is free it goes a long way.
Give peace a chance but parabellum .
Maybe call a local non-emergency police line or local ATF branch and let them know what's going on, confirm that your ID will work, maybe ask if they can contact the shop and confirm it straight to them.
Really not "up to the owner who only takes DLs". See if they'll submit the 4473 to your state agency for approval with the I.D. card. Sometimes I will include a copy of the I.D. card on the 4473. The State (Nevada) seems to appreciate it.
It's been over 24 hours so I called the store he (,big bird) Aka Douch head answered and put me on hold it was 20 til 6. ,he said that some other dude was still waiting to hear from ATF to see if my hunting license would be enough? I don't under stand why my state ID ,IS not good enough for them.
I told gunbroker ,of how they bern treating me . they got my hopes up by asking if I had another FFL store they could send it to ,cause of course I have another.
Then gunbroker.com said it would have to be sent back to the original seller, up in .P.A
Good thing I have Patience . Unfortunately I think tomorrow is going to be the last day ,who knows how much the shop will charge me to send it to P.A .they only charged me 6 bucks to send it to Florida. The worst thing is instead of helping my sick mom, I gotta take a break and do this B.S 😪
Bottom line......as has been said......CALL THE ATF!!😡
Enough of this messing around......
That's exactly what they are doing messing with me,making me jump through hoops .I been dealing with this dudes * he keeps hurling at me. What is the ATF phone number?
This just is what it is.....the store doesn't want to do transfers, period.
The rest is just fluff in the conversation, which nobody likes the Hallmark Movie version of anything.
Its best to just move forward to whatever gets this to the next step as quickly as possible.
Tell them to send it back, that is THEIR cost if they refuse to handle the transfer. They shouldn't have taken transfers in the first place if they have nonsense rules to their procedures. Get the seller the FFL that they will be sending it to once it gets returned to them. If you have to pay shipping again, no worries....just get it over with.
@Floki120 : ^^^ that's the way forward.

I agree. Thanks to all for the wise words.
When you finally do get your mitts on the firearm in question come back and give us a range report!
ATF Form 4473 (5300.9)
Revised August 2023
Line 26.a. " Identification ( e.g., Virginia drivers license (VA DL) or other valid government-issued photo identifactioin including military ID.) "
Here in WI, if it is the sale of a handgun, there is a state form to be filled out along with the 4473. The state form on, line 18 reads as follows ---
Type of Photo Identification ( Required)
Drivers License # ___________________
Wisconsin Phopto Card # _________________
Other ( Please Specify) ________________
The dealer who is giving you the round around, plain and simple, doesn't want transfers. I am a gunsmithing shop. I don't stock firearms for sale, except a few used ones, so everytime a new transfer customer has me do a transfer, that person sees my shop and may be come a gunsmithing customer in the future. I get Gunbroker transfers here and many have said, "Never knew anyone was in the area who fixed guns, give me your business card." I welcome transfers and YES, I will also do C&R licenses.
Welcome on board. Good peopole here.
I called and asked to speak to the owner, when I was giving them my name and number, the big dude that's been giving me *, got on the line. I specifically asked to not be put on the phone with him. I asked him to mail the gun back to the original seller. He said that they could not send it back with out a special form from the seller, that there's no way they are paying to ship it back.
I wrote the seller of my problems. They sent this. It seems that the seller speaks a different language.
This FFL just seems like there screws are loose.

@Floki120, OK first you posted in the wrong place and I moved it to the correct forum for you, now you have had multiple reputable folks tell you contact GB support and/or the ATF and also had quite a few other opinions about your issue. We are now done with it I hope you get a resolution, but please read or re-read the Forum Guidelines here: https://forums.gunbroker.com/discussion/1881593/posting-guidelines
We as moderators try to give as much lee way as possible for the most part, however complaints in general are against the guidelines as you can read in them, there are many reason why we let that slide some, but in this case we have only heard your side of the story and have helped as much as I believe is necessary so this is now closed as a topic.
