I've found there are VERY different kinds of driving depending on where you are

I get to drive all over the place…..its pretty fun most of the time to plan a little road trip.

One thing I've found is that nothing is the same anywhere you are, even though the laws are all the same as far as driving goes.

If you are in Nashville…..good luck, those people aren't "driving" they are looking around, talking on the phone, pointing at stuff, they might as well be in a bus being driven by someone else with a tour guide because their mind is not on the road at all.

Houston is a two hour drive from end to end with everyone going 90mph through the entire city….no joke. Its amazing. I suggest if you go there get a hotel within walking distance to the TexMex place so you can walk back to your room that evening….for lots of reasons…..trust me.

Whats up with Florida yall? Its like they said…..lets put a long straight highway without any indication of whatever interesting things might be going on, right down the middle so you pass everything without realizing you missed something you'd like to see. If you do turn, chances are you've made it to another of the same stretch of road….but this one has tolls. Why can't they get the whole left lane is for passing thing down???? Is that something they do just to annoy everyone?

Georgia is trying to win the most lanes in one spot award…..I am thankful they are working on things, but when they get up to 8 lanes in each direction you start to wonder if someone isn't just seeing how many lanes they can build before someone stops them.

Virginia….they have decided to drive everyone's GPS systems bonkers. You're car is telling you to turn left…..but the giant orange barrels say otherwise. Recalculating. It seems like there is either nobody on the road…..or everyone is on the road, all at one time in Virginia.

Louisiana is one place I've not figured out. The scenery is amazing….the food is amazing…..HOW on earth do I always find the exit that only has a scary gas station and a drive through daquiri/boudin ball shack???
