Help! Cylinder Latch Spring, Miroku/Colt UPDATE, SERIOUS REQUEST

Please see post toward the bottom of this thread. Thanks!

============================================

Someone is bound to have one in his parts bin, I hope!

A lady gave me an old, but in good condition, Miroku .38 Special revolver. It was not working because the innards were all gunked up. I didn't think I could un-gunk it by just spraying cleaner through it, so I removed the side plate.

The cylinder latch comes off with the sideplate, like a Colt. The latch is powered by a very small diameter coil spring. Well, this spring fell out, hit the floor somewhere, and disappeared into a black hole.

I searched the area thoroughly, using a flashlight and magnet. I even vacuumed with a shop vac. No spring.

I'm pretty sure I can't find a Miroku spring, but it appears to be about the same as a Colt D-frame spring. Brownells doesn't have one. GunParts doesn't have one. I couldn't find one for sale on Gunbroker.

Do any of you have something that will work in this application?

There is also a flat spring that I think is the hand spring. I can't tell whether it goes over or under the pin on the side of the hammer, and I find no pictures of a Miroku with the sideplate off online.

All help appreciated!
