I know....gun discussion on GUN broker....am I way off (not sure which way...left or right).
Anybody find any good deals lately? I passed on a French MAS for $125 today...because I did not know what they went for.
I picked up a scale, 200 rounds of 9mm, Butler Creek 25 round clip for my 10/22, and Remington's Top Shot interactive shooting game (25 cents).

That's about 1/3 the going price, given condition. You could have resold it for enough to pay for your other items and then some.
a friend found a stevens 22 single shot in very poor condition a woman said it belonged to her late husband and that she didnt even know if it shot, and that if he wanted it he could have it for 5 bucks.
later his son got in some trouble with the law and under parole or something he was not allowed to live with guns so dad had to get read of his guns and the stevens went to me. i cleaned it up oiled it and even tho the stock has a small crack in it it is my faithful companion while squirreling, i think the count on that rifle is 26 of the tasty critters in skillet.

Not a great gun but a lot of fun. I was on my way to a Tulsa gunshow to setup on a Friday when I saw a sale I stopped and they had an RG 38 special that had exploded. The top strap was gone the cylinder peeled back and the barrel leaned down about 20 degrees below level. The internal parts and the grips were the only thing left usable. I paid 5.00 for it to strip the internals . I went on to the show and set up. I noticed an old friend who sold remanufactured ammo (who shall remain nameless) was there as well. So i got some Ace bandages and wrapped up my hand and got over to my friends booth. Whereupon I started to get beligerant and ask him what the hell he sold me all the while waving this potmetal paperweight under his nose and shaking my bandaged right hand at him. Too say he went white as a sheet is to put it mildly. The look on his face as he pictured the dollars being sucked out of his wallet was ghastly. I could not hold the line and broke out laughing and told him the real deal and it was like a weight lifted off his shoulders. We still jike about it. He has yet to get me back So I'm still waiting.
P.S. Guys you may use this joke yourself as long as you pay me a royalty of .005 of any money collected if the terrified victim starts throwing it at you[}:)][}:)][}:)][}:)]
Okay, I have not been to enough garage sales to find anything gun related, but can you legally buy a gun at a garage sale if you and the seller have neither an FFL or a C and R?
if you are not restricted from owning a firearm and are of legal age to posses the firearm in question a personal sale is not restricted by federal law. you should consult local laws as to permissable firearms or further restrictions
Where is she hiding her garage sale gun related find?

Like scottm21166 said, check your local laws. Some states are still free enough to buy and sell guns, without having to REGISTER them for future confiscation, some are not.
I'm "almost" surprised when, at some garage sales, I ask about them having any firearms for sale, they ask me, "Is that legal?" Which then turns into an educational discussion about the law. MANY people have been brainwashed, or are uneducated, when it comes to guns and the law.
As for the topic of this thread, I have been out pickenup a few lately. Have 4--22 rifles in the "Gunsmithing school" now, found them over the last few weeks. IF they can fix them, there may be another giveaway for kids.
