Some found their way to Albuquerque, where my family used to live. We got sooo sick of hearing about the Cubans invloved with drugs and things, it is not even funny
Too old to live...too young to die...
You haven't been to college, have you?
I don't believe the typical college professor is a spy...
No...but they are EXTREMELY liberal and most are pushing a socialistic adgenda.
i had a college professor who thought america was evil for bombing japan and i told him he better watch himself if he wanted to say things like that
Typical [?] My wife is an associate professor of European History so if Mrs. K has a side job as a spy I want my share of the extra cash she must be briging in.
the pay is... They don't murder your family. Third World Dictators don't pay, they extort.

I would dare them to try, police would have a mystery as to the identities of the three dead f***heads in my house [;)]

only because they haven't been given the opportunity.
I'm SURE they're not!
The ones I've met just plain weren't smart enough to be anything but completely transparent.
Educated? ..... Sure!
Intelligent? ...... Not even close!
Some institutions are known for Leftist activities, like UC Berkley, while others are more Right Wing, like any college in Utah (except the president of the U of U who is sort of an idiot).
As for college professors being stupid, well, that's the "blue collar elitism" at work. People with advanced degrees are not stupid. They are usually opinionated, and you may disagree with them, but that doesn't make them stupid. Also note that someone with a Ph.D. is an expert in a narrow area, their pareticular field of study. So of course they may not know much about all things in general. Again, this doesn't make them stupid, just uninformed on matters outside their field of interest.

If you went to college and got this opinion then your college was nothing like the ones around here. Many of the professors I know are conservative gun owners and hunters.

I hear this comment all the time, and I can honestly say that I dont' think I have ever had a single liberal professor that I have been able to identify. The class I'm currently in the book was clearly written by a pair of freedom hating commies, but I really don't think I have had a single un-american instructor.
I guess it all depends on the schools atmosphere, believe it or not there are still a few schools focused on academics not sports.
I don't know squat about about nuclear physics. Does that make me stupid? No, it means I am uninformed on the subject.

YES, anybody from the 'hood has 10x the common sense they'll never have, 20 times the personality, and even though they haven't "accomplished" what you would call any kind of accomplishment (car/house/job/money/school) I've met a few people that lived more out of life before age 25 than most people would in a lifetime, let alone a professor type who spent the entire first half of their life in the back room with their nose in a book.
those 'overeducated' types have poor money managament skills, little sense of responsibility, few social skills, little or no mechanical skills, and are usually completely misdirected regarding what is good in life and how to get it.
aside from their specialization, they're about useless.
that kind of stupid.

Some of my professors (I will provide referencs if you like) have had some pretty colorful backgrounds
Example #1 PHD in physics, PHD in Mathematics.
High school drop out, Navy Fleet Marine Force corpsmen, eventually commissioned, 22 years total service, retired as an 0-4.
Example #2 J.D. Harvard Law
Retired 0-6 pilot for a number of different aircraft throughout his career, very fun, very smart person.
Example #3 Masters of Aerospace Science, Aviation Safety, Master of Aerospace Science, Space Studies- Embry-Riddle.
High school diploma, truck driver, Air force air traffic controller, commissioned F-15 eagle pilot (2 time combat veteran), Retired 0-4, currently also flies as a civilian instructor for military aircraft.
Example #4 PHD (Don't recall what) Master of Nuclear engineering, Graduate Naval Acadamy 1960-something)
Former Commanding Officer U.S.S. Alabama, 30+ years military service, Maybe the most intelligent person I have ever met.
My list could go on, but I think this should get the point across, education doesn't make you all knowing, but it doesn't automatically mean you've never done anything but sat in a room reading books your entire life.

I went to the University of Wisconsin. Madison makes any other "liberal" place in this country, including Boulder and San Francisco look like the cloakroom for the Conservative Caucus in Congress.
I'm currently attending a private university here in Colorado. The professors tend to be moderate to slightly conservative.
The University of Colorado-Boulder is the home to Ward Churchill, and I'll bet you dollars to donuts that his liberal viewpoint is fairly typical amongst his peers.
spanielsells- To me, it is sort of simple, find somewhere else to go to school, if the entire staff is nothing but commies.
I don't have that problem currently. My school is moderate to conservative.
At 18, I actually relished the idea of going to a liberal bastion. I spent four years enjoying going against the grain and pi$$ing off the liberals.
Really, there's entertainment value to going to a liberal school when you're a staunch conservative. Plenty of it, in fact.
And, FWIW, I came out of there MORE conservative than when I went in.

Yeah, go ahead and threaten a man for expressing an opinion.
Mighty Taliban of ya, RunForest.
This is America and there's a thing called free speech. If you disagreed, you ought to have told him why he was wrong (and yes, he was) but to tell him he'd "better watch himself" is cowardice at best.
To the top.
...no offense intended to the few who are conservative[:)]
