My error and you're right.
I have since read the article and agree with Mr. Thomas. The GOP has gone too far appeasing the people with handouts.
We need to get back to work.
Clouder..
It may well bankrupt our kids and grandkids.
It may well will bankrupt our kids and grandkids.

"Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants and the creed of slaves." -- William Pitt (1783)
The day of voting a straight party line is gone, unless you are a hack or union stooge, no one party can give all the people of this country everything they want and to pretend otherwise is campaign drivel.

What this country needs..the beast getting bigger.
God,Guts,& GunsHave we lost all 3 ??
It's just that the steersman changes every four to eight years.
Each change of leadership moves us to the left or right of center,
seems the best system around.
No matter which side we are for (mostly [;)]),
they usually take us farther than we would like to go as a whole.
Then comes the corection of course.
Then, we swing (way) too far in the other direction.
Back and forth we go, right, left, right, left...
Like a new paddler in a canoe.
As long as our progress is down, (or up as the case may be), the river, we're making progress.
Seems the our first leaders really did know what they were doing!
If we're honest with ourselves...

Yeah but the problem is, as the article implies, is that the Republicans are not taking us Right of center, but left of center. If that is the way the Republicans want to take us, why not just vote democrat?

but I still think Bush is better than any of the D's that are running.
To me anyway, the FAR left is where the D's are heading now a days, perhaps a move left for the "right" will take us closer to center?
Truth is buddy, I'm confused!
Seems more and more, I place myself as a moderate...
of both parties!
See, I am confused! [:D]
