I am not too familiar with Colt Custom Shop, but doen't this seem like a good deal? Anyone know what these go for? Other's listed on similar sites seem to be quite a bit more. Your thoughts?

I have a 1903 SAA Colt rebuild in 1957 that is as crisp as my 2nd Generation SAA. So it can be done.
The sleezoid boxes with Philips screws really turns me off. Hardware is incorrect and no attempt was made at authenticity.
I had a Colt cased Pocket Police made in the 1980's that had a similarly poorly made case, mould and flask that couldn't be used.
The Colt Rep said the accoutrements were for display.
Some gun nut should clue the Custom Shop in on what Colt lovers want to see.
I think this gun was refinished, based on the problems v35 noted.

It would be great if his pieces could bare "the light of day" with decent photos.
Oh well . . .

PS: Auction # 262455612 - started at $1,595.00. It eventually morphed into: Auction # 270602725 - started at and sold at $1,295.00.
I do hope that everyone will be happy and content.

What I mean is, is that the roll-stamp may very well be latter-day Colt quality out-the-door. It may not be buffed down. And the triggerguard base area...yes, it's rounded, but, with the Q/C of latter day Colts, I'm not too quick to snap to judgement that this item has been reworked since it left the factory.
But, hey..what do I know?

This is the same guy that was asking about a supposedly NIB pre 64 model 94 Winchester. All of his auctions are questonable.

Yep, and most likely the seller as well since they have the same last name & location.

Alan you seem to have a personal vendetta against this guy for one reason or another. Yes we all know what he is but I don't think it bothers the rest of us as much as it does you.
Vendetta? NO.
Offended? YES, when we are all played for fools here on GB.
Concerned? YES, when the unsuspecting are shilled!

If this person needs defending, I'll listen to the appropriate feedback from the appropriate folks.
really? I respect your opinion and i'm not doubting you, but i need to know what you see that i don't.
looks like a typical 3rd gen factory effort to me.
