Re: Paint color
Be careful! This is a very deep rabbit hole! 😉
I just went to the hardware store and got the best match I could from the rattle can selection for my 100 pound and 250 pound bombs. No body has ever called me on it.

These guys are the best you can get (in my opinion) for military vehicles. Yes, I painted my military vehicles with the latex house paint they talk about.
If you decide to get the full set, don't forget to share with the rest of us.

Re: What is your favorite firearm?
That's a tough question........but I'll pick three examples.
My favorite handgun is my old Series 70 Gold Cup that I modified almost 45 years ago....…and was the basis for starting my gunsmithing avocation. Still carry it......on occasion. 😎
Then there's one of my nicest rifles.........a Winslow/Sako 17-222. You can see a good example of why I'm a self professed wood wh...(prostitute).😇
Finally......there's one of my most treasured rifles. It's my grandfather's old Winchester Model 61 Octagon 22LR. Out of my cold dead hands......…and to my son.🤨
Shootin' irons make for a great hobby.......err......obsession. 😉
Re: What is your favorite firearm?
Ask me any day and you’ll get a different answer. That said, today’s favorite is…..
The H&R Ultra Slug Hunter (12 ga). She was born a shotgun, but identifies as a rifle. 😁 I call her “The Flopper” on account of what she does to deer with her 547 grain Buckhammer slugs.
Re: Maybe wrong area to post
I'm in agreement 100% with you Brookwood, there's many names that carry weight / clout I guess because of their fame, status and the amount of money in their bank accounts. Most of us would be lucky to be a back page story if something happens to us or a family member. Got any idea's on how we can get some clout ?……I might want some, just a little would be fine…😀
Re: sell cartridge collection.
Don’t discount the value of your collection.
This one of mine sold for $6,000+ ,,,,,,
Re: sell cartridge collection.
Thank you for your time and valuable information concerning my question. I knew it would not be easy to sell them and like Hopper said, interest in collecting them is slowing down. As you probably know, a lot of time was involved in gathering the collection. Thank you again, Eddie
Re: sell cartridge collection.
This is a HARD market to sell. There are so few collectors that know what that sort of thing is worth. You really need to sell them in small lots. Shipping is a pain, but worth it in the end.
Larry Potterfield sent his vintage ammo collection here and we dealt with it. I'll tell you when you ship vintage ammo boxes you need to wrap each box with saran wrap or some sort of plastic wrap….then, wrap each box as if you were going to toss it in your driveway as far as you can. They really abuse the boxes and if you don't keep that in mind it will shift and break apart. We wrapped the boxes in plastic, then bubble wrap, then duct taped the boxes to be one "bundle" then wrapped that bundle in bubble wrap…then shipping peanuts and we STILL had a few mishaps.
If you spend a few minutes taking some pictures, list it for your asking price and put "actual shipping" in the listing….you can give your buyer the option of emailing over a FedEx or UPS label if they want. You just need to make sure you put the black triangle sticker on the box.
I just don't have the time for ammo and extras these days. I have three large batches of ammo that have been here so long I feel horrible I haven't found time to deal with them yet. I swear, I'm gettting to it asap though!
You just have to ship them FedEx or UPS….not USPS….the triangle thing is something you can just download and print off a picture. California requires that you ship ammo TO an FFL…I'm not aware of any other restrictions.
The Thanksgiving Psalm (100 1-5)
A Psalm of Thanksgiving.
Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands! 2 Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. 3 Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. 5 For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.
