Might take a while, since both mills will be turning out parts for the 50 caliber BMG...
Told you I would be busy, but will take orders should this ever happen.

First of all...... "It ain't gonna happen!"

Secondly, if they try to take my weapons "It ain't gonna happen!"

I don't believe any active duty SF would follow the order.

I hate to break it to everyone but our military isn't nearly large enough to confiscate every gun in every city and town in the USA. Aside from the elite spec ops units, the military isn't trained well enough to do so either. You'd be surprised at how many military personnel still have no idea that 5.56=.223. There won't be enough willing participants to be effective. Half of our "fighting force" are reservists and guardsmen who live in the civilian world and "play Army" just enough to maintain a minimal level of readiness. There still isn't enough "MOUT" training to make a bit of difference in this situation. Yes, there would be civilian casualties but there are not enough willing military personnel or LEO's to get the job done effectively. Turn them loose on the streets of their homeland against their fellow Americans and they will be very confused and demoralized. I have little fear of this ever happening on a large scale.

With that being said, the REAL fear lies in Kalifornia-style confiscation. They beat the civilian population down bit by bit with more and more laws laid on gradually but steadily until we are subjugated and afraid of our own government. That is where the real danger lies.

Did no one on this thread just recognize the fact that the Bush Administration just came out in favor of the second amendment as an individual right??? The anti-gunners are scared to death that some court is going to rule and confirm it for everyone??? Just wondering...figured some one would be rejoicing around here??

As far as the notion that a "militia" type army could not fight the army of a superpower, you can look at the Winter War for an example. Finland, a tiny country of, I think 3 million, was invaded by Russia in 1939. Russia had planes, lots of tanks, the entire modern mechanized army. Finland mostly had a bunch of troops with bolt action rifles. The Finn air force had almost nothing, they had few tanks, they had some artillery. They had very accurate bolt actions and men with the will to use them. A couple Finn snipers would work around to the rear and find a Russkie camp and shoot 5 or 10 of them. Finland fought Russia to a virtual draw, and the final toll was something like 1 million dead Russians and 35,000 dead Finns. There is on record an instance of a Finn Lt. who ran up and jammed a log into the treads of a Russian tank. His buddy threw a Molotov cocktail onto the tank [Finns invented the Molotov cocktail] and when the crew started out, they were shot down. Finns had the will to fight. The Russian army of 1939 was not near as good as our army today, but that B52 pilot has to go home on leave and visit his mama. And someone in his home town will know who he is. A Green Beret leaping from an Apache is fearsome, but when that Apache hovers at 70 ft. if the pilot gets a round in the chest from a country boy with a .30-30, all on board could die in the crash.

I'm really encouraged to read what some of you radical guys and( I hope there are some gals in here)are saying. Esp. the ones who can smell what is really going down with NATO and our homeland security crapola we've been fed lately. Get in top shape, and study survival people, cause some bad stuff is coming down. Practice practice.

Most important of all, study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

It looks promising, but I'm not letting my guard down until all this '34 and '68 crap is rolled back.

Then we can think about celebrating.

Besides, I'll believe it when I see it. Big Daddy Bush was supposed to work some pro-gun miracles and he just gave us a huge import ban when we weren't looking.

    Nope. I drink a pot a day.

I need something to keep me energized. It takes more energy to open the eyes of gun sheeple than it does anti-gun sheeple.

Well said...Submariner. If it all comes to pass...I sincerely doubt that Evil and his buddies will be the only ones standing shoulder to shoulder. There's still a lot of guys out there that put the uniform on for real.
But ... on the positive side...there is still a lot of mountain to be climbed. And regardless, I think ashcroft just threw out a rope. swede

This topic came up in a Fed Gov class I was taking. The instructor had an interesting comment when the question of confiscation came up, "there are over 100 million guns in the US, what do you think would happen"? He is a little different than most educators with a masters; he was in the Air Force, now in the Air Force reserves and he is pretty conservative. Also teaches in a fed prison, ah the stories he would not elaborate on.

As a side note, one older guy in the class says that the 2nd does not apply to individuals only state militias, and since we have the US military we do not need the second and it should be struck from the constituition. He thinks that people as individuals do not need the costitution to be able to own firearms, but that people should be allowed to own them. In what capacity he did not really explain. Big time Democrat and thinks Monica should have swallowed and Clinton was great. The former Marine who spent five years on Presidential detail did not agree.

Being prior service, unless the mindset of the soldier has completely changed, I find it highly unlikely that our military would participate in a war against the American people. Unlikely but not impossible. If gun owners are villainised, and generalised as a terrorist threat it is a possibility. However, a more likely senario would be that the United States, under a Clintonesque President, signs a treaty with the united nations which outlaws private ownership of firearms. The UN troops would try going door to door. I believe the security of the United States has more to fear from the United Nations than any country or terrorist network. Under a presidency "like" Clinton we may one day find this out. I wonder if Hilary will run for president, Ill bet she does. I used to wander how slick willy got away with everything, it was like a miracle, I couldn't believe people would vote for such a trator to our country. I joked and said he was the antichrist and used some sort of spell to fool the people into believing his lies. Now, being more mature and having been married for several years, I realise that Satan will surely come back as a woman and I bet Hilary Rodham has a big 666 tatoo right across her *.lol.....

When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....

4G&C, I believe you are correct about the UN.

And as far as Ashcroft throwing us a rope, what do you think will happen when the Next Klintonite is elected into office? I think we dodged a bullet when Al Spore lost, but I don't think the struggle is over. All it will take is the right leach in office to sell us out. will gun confiscation happen? I believe it will, not an all out round up but a periodic confiscation Kalifornia style. I think we have many long battles ahead in the Supreme Court and this last deal with Ashcroft was nothing but a "stay of execution". Don't get all relieved yet because it aint over till the fat lady sings and the fat lady is still eatin twinkies waitin for the right moment. When we get sold out I believe the UN will set the standards for the gun laws, they will give a list of guns to be banned and all hell will break lose, will our elected ones keep that from happening? We will see. all we need is for the courts to keep the powers that be in check and keep us out of the mine field that somebody like Hillary would put us in.
