FreudianSlippers, thank you so much for sharing your awesome talent with us. In these troubled times its nice to have a little continuity of tradition.
I have always appreciated both of your intellectual wits, and of course your artistic talents with pumpkins. Which is second to NONE. Thank you for jumping through the hoops that were required to grace us with this years creation. I love it, as usual. Now that you have jumped through the hoops, I know that GunBrokers forums are not what they used to be, so we will see where it goes from here.
Some will die in hot pursuit
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
That much talent and effort for such an ephemeral result is true art. Serious kudos.
(There are many of us who have no need for the auction side and never go there. Go ahead and sign up there to get access here. The necessity is silly, but at least the hoop jumping is painless.)
Wish she were here. I look forward to her post on this thread every year.

She was a regular forum member, a decade ago. A good looking gal, she was an attorney. If I remember correctly she also had a collection of Samurai swords. She posted all the time.
Then, about six years ago, she went bye bye, as so many have done. But every october she would pop up with the fantastic pumpkin carvings.
GunBroker doesn't seem to recognize my old account anymore, so I'm posting from my husband's account. (I'm guessing they want me to create an auction account, but I do not need one and do not want to create one just to make an occasional forum post.)
I am doing fine. I did carve this year, but I was pressed for time, so I scaled back my ambitions and carved a much less challenging pattern. This is a wasp spider (Argiope bruennichi), a species of orbweaver that is known for making a zig-zag pattern in its web.
Glad you stopped by, FS. I always enjoyed your participation in the forum, and yes. an auction side account is required in order to have a forum account these days.
This! Glad to see you drop in FS. It truly is not Halloween without your post as @Ditch-Runner said. Hope you're enjoying life. Cheers.

Welcome back! That is one awesome carving! You certainly haven't lost your touch. Not sure how you can top that next year but please come back and prove me wrong.😁 Bob

Amazing!
If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!
I posted about you in my Halloween post, hoping, like the Great Pumpkin, that you would appear.
+1
glad to see this year’s installment.

This forum is lessened without this years artistic creation. ☹️
Hope you two are doing well.

Thank you so much, MS. Slippers I was concerned something happened to you. My birthday is now complete.

This year, nothing.
She is around hopefully, Compentone posted next door not long ago
Its not Halloween with FS's pumpkin post.
Hello, everyone.

Glad you posted...
its not Halloween until we hear from you and see your creations
thank you again
Glad you posted . Your talent is amazing. I cannot even draw a straight line using a ruler.

What is a scaled back ambition to you, is something out of reach for the most of us.
Thank you for giving us another yearly installment of your amazing talent.

Thank you FS for sharing your artistic creation with us this year.
Awesome as usual. I LOVE IT.
Even if you had to use "his" account. 😉
Good to hear you are doing well
Thank you very much. Now my Birthday is complete. 😁😁😁

Better late than never, thanks for sharing!
Eating leftover snack size Snickers and seeing her pumpkin art are the only 2 things I look forward to on Halloween. Bob

What they said. Always one of the best treats of trick or treat season.
Hello Freudian Slippers! Thanks for posting. Beautiful carving.
I carved a pumpkin this year: Gollum/Sméagol from The Lord of the Rings.
Welcome back! That is one awesome carving! You certainly haven't lost your touch. Not sure how you can top that next year but please come back and prove me wrong.😁 Bob
As usual, totally awesome!! Great to see you post also!
Hey hey. Glad to see you got signed up and are back in here. Welcome back and stick around more.
That is just amazing. Welcome back!
Welcome back outstanding artistry as always .
