I work in a nursing home as a nurses aide and also as a unit clerk. I get to help the residents, talk to the families and then deal with the Dr orders as they come in on my shift.

It is a great job, lots of interesting older folks around!!

I own a small consulting company that does computer network staffing, installation, troubleshooting and repair. My day to day responsibilities include keeping my clients' sites up and running and upgrading existing networks.

I still wish I was a fishing boat captain (or first mate) in the Florida Keys......

Until June 30, I'll be Director of IT at a small company that provides business services and hosted apps. Then my company goes out of business, and I'll be one of the thousands of other unemployed computer geeks in Dallas. I've been at this for five years, and was the first employee of the company. We built a great team and provided a great service. We just couldn't keep the CEO from racking up $40k expense reports every month, and the b@st@rd bled it dry. Dismanteling my server room and laying off my employees sucks.

    Sorry for the rant . . .

I'm director of technology services at a small private college. Staff of 13, the finest most professional people I have ever been associated with. Second term as a manager/director. First one was a large public school system where your color was more important that your job skills. Got the H E (double toothpicks) out of there and we now live on 80 quite peaceful acres and the one hour commute doesn't bother me at all.

Like in the NFL, defense is the key.

Work for an Agriculture Engineering Firm that bulids research equipment for the seed research industry. Wear many hats, involved with R&D projects, trouble shooting client equipment needs...involves a lot of travel. Last year was in 30 states and 6 countries. In terms of genetic research, some crops we work with are extremely valuable...can be worth as much as a milllion dollars per acre. Due to investment of this kind, our services require an "on call" status that requires travel anywhere anytime. Very interesting work....met some of the nicest people. Mrs Rembrandt is a Nurse....gives good back rubs too!

It's my job to irritate bullzeye. That's really easy, so the rest of the time I manage an emergency operations center.

Also retired military, and writer of sorts.

I have 363 days to go to my second retirement. Then I can draw all four pensions at once.

BEER MAN. I have the overlooked and under appreciated task of making sure that everyone from the Nanticoke river to the Atlantic Ocean, and from the Delaware line to the Virginia line has plenty of Miller,Coors, Sam Adams, Corona, Heineken, Modelo, Pabst, Yuengling, Molson,Fosters, Killians, Milwaukees best, Mickeys, Old English, Private Stock, DNA, Dogfish Head, Wild Goose, etc that they need. I forecast all the sales and coordinate with all the breweries to get the product on time and keep it fresh........which reminds me,......I have to go do a random taste check on some miller lite. I gotta have quality control ya know I wouldn't want any of yall to have a bad experience or anything.

A great rifle with a junk scope,....is junk.

Used to be a LEO, now I'm a private investigator employed by a law firm. I'm also a fledgeling real estate investor (I only own one property besides my own).

I'm trying to get into the IT industry to pay the bills until my real estate endeavors get large enough to support my family.
