Industrial Designer ...Piping systems! 26yr.s worth! From California to Alaska (meant my BEST hunting partner in Alaska ...Ed Schroeder - "HEY EDDY-BOY"!!!*G*). I left Calif after 13 yr.s for 2 reasons ...1 was the EX! and 2 was their "new" gun policy! Moved to Idaho for a job and a chance to get back into hunting and fishing! The engineer firm there told me they had 2 to 5 yr.s of work, they started laying people off after 6 months! caught me after 1yr & 1 month ...Grrr.
Caught another job in Washington state ...been here 2 months (already got a fishing lic.*G*) Hoping it becomes a permanent position! I NEED to get back into a house and a garage/shop BAD(my tools & projects need a home too!!!*G*) ...Wish me luck!

I worked in a power plant in an industrial plant. Water treatment, 1.3MGD, waste treatment, putting it back just like mother nature made it. Cl2 treatment, aerator, sand filters, sodium and acid regenerated softners, caustic regenerated demineralized H2O. 300gpm. Steam turbine powered chillers and air compressors.
This company went belly up but I learned many things. Poo runs down hill, payday was Friday and (DO NOT!) bite your fingernails.

Now I am employed by the State of Kansas as a boiler operator. Note the absense of the word work. This is basically like watching your furnace run. When I retire I'm going to Wally World or Mickey D's and work for one day so I won't have to tell people I retired from the state. This is not to far in the future.
