    The circus continues.

Ford says she will testify IF Kavanaugh testifies first, and there are no lawyers doing the questioning.

Kavanaugh states he has no knowledge of the party, so I guess his testimony will be 'I don't know what she is talking about'.

If he goes any further, her lawyers will parse every syllable in the hopes to find the remotest inconsistency in his words or words for any third party that has been identified over the past couple of weeks.

While I understand this is not a trial, it seems ridiculous to even entertain the motion of the defense being forced to present its case first.

The longer this goes on, the less credible the claim, as Ford seems to be playing directly from the anti-Trump playbook.

I think that a larger game is in play, that of placing the old white republicans in a position they know to be a very tight spot, especially among women.

Delaying the vote is also a consideration, as good old boy Brett is losing public approval every day. The public doesn't vote to move him out of committee, or to approve the nomination, but they do most certainly vote for senators who will. That is not lost upon them.

Foolishly forcing to meet some sort of artificial deadline demand simply makes Ford out to be even more of a victim.

She is a victim only in the eyes of the SJW's. Ford is not a actually a victim in any sense of the word; she is a symptom of the Marxist (D) party agenda of RESIST, no matter what.

Gosh, you certainly seem to be claiming special knowledge into the actual facts of the allegation.

How did you come to know them ?

If these were ordinary people, the case would not even be investigated, much less heard in court.
Bill Clinton, Hillary?s husband, a man credibly accused of rape, who settled a sexual harassment suit as president, engaged in a sleazy Oval Office sexual affair with a young subordinate. The left, including feminists, and the establishment media, never wanted the FBI to investigate any of this.

According to Fox, Ford has identified 4 people that were at the party, and none of them can place Kavanaugh at the party, or remember the party itself.

I suppose if the FBI were to become involved, it would improve the ability of the plaintiff to canvass the entire country in the hopes of finding someone who could have possible been at such and event and who would be willing to make a statement to that affect.

With the left working so incredibly hard to divide the nation, we have seen folks on both sides dig in their heels to the extent that they will sacrifice principle for politics. If the FBI can find one or two of these sacrificial lambs, Ford may find an ally that some will find believable.

That is all she and Feinstein need.

I think that whatever the democrats did or wanted over 20 years ago should not be taken as an excuse to do the same, today, if it was improper then.

That is merely excuse seeking for more bad behavior.

Kavanaugh is asking for the privilege of a lifetime appointment to the supreme court.

With that should come an expected scrutiny, not a coronation.

    If? IF?
Kavanugh is not asking for privilege. His country is asking him to serve. With that comes the ?privilege? of having his character besmirched.

He has passed six FBI background checks AND ALREADY HAS LIFETIME TENURE on the bench. Just because you and your (D) buddies don't like him for his Constitutional views does not give you permission to try and destroy the man.

    NOBODY WILL CORROBORATE HER STORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Christine Blasey Ford has claimed that four other people attended a small gathering at which she was allegedly assaulted by Brett Kavanaugh. Three of those people, PJ Smyth, Mark Judge, and Kavanaugh, have already denied any recollection of attending such a party.

On Saturday night, Leland Ingham Keyser, a classmate of Ford's at the all-girls school Holton-Arms and her final named witness, denied any recollection of attending a party with Brett Kavanaugh.

"Simply put, Ms. Keyser does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and she has no recollection of ever being at a party or gathering where he was present, with, or without, Dr. Ford," lawyer Howard J. Walsh said in a statement sent to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

CNN reports that " Keyser is a lifelong friend of Ford's."

Keyser previously coached golf at Georgetown University and is now executive producer of Bob Beckel's podcast. Keyser is the ex-wife of Beckel, a former Democratic operative and commentator. A search on OpenSecrets.org reveals Keyser's only political donation has been to former Democratic senator Byron Dorgan.

Keyser's denial, as a female lifelong friend and Ford's last named witness, is the most consequential development that has occurred since Ford publicly stepped forward last Sunday and detailed her allegations to the Washington Post. Ford's allegation of the 1982 incident was told to no one until a 2012 therapy session, when Kavanaugh was first touted in the media as the most likely GOP Supreme Court nominee.

All of Ford's named witnesses of the party, both male and female, have now denied any recollection of attending such a party.

    Yes, if.

Anybody listen to his interview last night? That man is in pain and is holding back on things he wants to say. I have much respect for him after hearing that interview, anybody else would have let it all out, he remained calm and chose his words carefully. The man even admitted to being a virgin for many years after highschool, that takes balls to say that on national TV.

Listened and thought the same thing.

A good Judge needs to remain "cool". He'd make a great SCOTUS.

Someone should start Kavanaugh a "GO FUND ME" account to compensate him for standing in front of a wall of slowly oozing B.S.

A vote out of committee is supposedly set for this Friday, just a day after Ms. Ford is presumed to testify. As opposed to giving a little time, voting on Monday. I think that's interesting. Because if Ford hits a PR home run there's no chance for Kavanaugh to recover. Or, if Ford is a no show on Thursday the Republicans can say "oh well, gave her everything and she bailed" then vote straight away.

A friend of mine says Ford won't testify out of concern she'll be asked questions about psychiatrist visits during which she discussed Kavanaugh. If that's the case, one would imagine Republicans mandated leaving that option open as a way to discourage her from appearing.

It's easy to point a finger at Republicans now. But we should thank Harry Reid for opening this door. As Senate Majority leader he took the bar from 60 Senate votes to confirm (a number that most always demanded support from "the other side") to simple majority rule. By doing so Senator Reid made SCOTUS confirmation the purview of only the party in power in the Senate.

The Senate is supposed to require co-operation. The Senate is supposed to go only so far as the minority party allows. The minority party is supposed to have a say in the result. Senator Reid closed that door and was told at the time that as was done in his favor would be done against him in spades.

Let's heap some blame where it belongs - at the foot of Senator Reid and his contrived objections to "the party of no". As we're finding out now, you're supposed to pay attention to those who say no. Know matter how often or long they say it. That's how a constitutional republic is designed to function. That's how one sustains legitimacy.

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/09/26/kavanaugh-accuser-submits-four-declarations-from-people-says-corroborate-her-assault-allegations.html

    Fascinating:

Ford says she has four people that can corroborate the assault.

All four are people she told many years after the fact.

Is this what passes for evidence today?

You tell someone something 20+ years after an event it is now fact because you have to tell the other people in your inner circle so as to not leave anyone out?

I think I am beginning to see the pattern here.

When politics are at play, credibility is not an operative word. Kavanaugh should have known this, and plead that he was a democrat back when the events supposedly happened, and then there would be no issue.

    OK Barz,
Based on the information that is out there as of now, we are left with 2 choices:

    1) Kavanaugh was part of a secret roving gang rape squad in DC that was systemically violating women, without anyone ever bringing charges/going to authorities

    2) This is the most disgustingly dishonest, coordinated smear campaign in US history

We all know what the answer is, do you?

Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain
