Wife made a kick * batch of cold tuna noodle salad this morning.

I will accompany it with a few corn dogs![:p] Life is good but my belly overhang has grown a tad threw the summer months. I plan to cut my sugar intake pretty soon.

Tonight, Chicken Wings on the grill along with a very large butternut squash from the garden.

Squash cut long ways, seed cup removed and the cavity filled with butter and a dallop of brown sugar. Wrapped in foil and cooking on the lower grill grid.

I am using fresh whole wings that have been marinated in a salty\sweet brine for a few hours and after cooking will be enjoyed with a few different sauces to dip into.[:p]

Seeing that everyone here eats just about every night, this thread could end up in "Sugar Bear" status![:D][8D]

Thawing out about 4 lbs. of very lean ground beef. Not sure what I am going to do with it yet.

Will be browning it, in small batches with fine diced onions, salt/pepper as usual. (After that, it is a crap shoot.) Thinking more spaghetti sauce, and or Manwiches. Have a couple packs of beef soup that call for a pound or two of ground beef. May try one of them, with added veggies, in the Crock pot.

I can always come up with something. Narrowing it down, is the problem.

Homemade (kind of) Beef vegetable soup. Had a couple packets of Swanson vegetable Beef soup starter packs. (Calls for ground beef.)

The 4 lbs of ground beef and diced onions I prepared in small batches yesterday. Got kinda well doneish, as I put it all in a large Crock pot on Warm overnight. (I knew I would be cooking with it today.)

One packet of Swanson Beef soup starter. Two large fine diced carrots, quite a bit of slivered celery, a can of diced tomatoes, a medium diced onion, a beef bullion cube, several tablespoons of Knorr beef broth powder, a fair amount of pasta shells, some EVOO, salt/Pepper. About one lb. of well doneish ground beef in each of two pots. Etc.

The Swanson pack had egg noodles, eggs, egg whites, tomatoes, celery, carrots, peas, spices, etc.

Been boiling away for about 30 minutes now. Looks/smells very good. Dinner today, lunches for next week at work.

Going to get some spaghetti sauce going in the Crock pot with the other two lbs. of ground beef. Will let it cook overnight. Good eats.

The Soup, (almost stew.) is excellent. [:D]

Got the Crock pot going with the other 2 lbs of ground beef. A medium diced onion, a large finely diced carrot, a garden fresh green pepper, (fine diced) some Marinara sauce, and some garlic/basil sauce. Salt/pepper, EVOO. Good eats. [:D]

Wife started up the slow cooker very early this morning. A fairly large pork tenderloin she browned and seasoned with salt & pepper on the stovetop. Then tossed it into the cooker with a big jar of sauerkraut.

Around mid morning she scrubbed up several nice new potato's, peeled some whole carrots and added to the pot. She also "wasted" a can of my PBR for moisture and to get my goat![:D] Told her next time I do the cooking, it'll be something she treasures added to the mix![}:)]

Sloppy Joe's can be a good alternative to everyday burger patties.
They are a quick filler upper and you can add the leftovers to your next batch of chili or goulash![:p][:p]

As for my evening meal which I eat in the mid afternoon, my Mrs. is making sweet & sour chicken out of a pack of boneless skinless thighs.

She fired up our deep fat fryer to get them crispy and was cleaning things up in the kitchen as I came in this morning. I told her to leave the oil in the fryer. I plan to make a few French fried potatoes before the grease gets tossed out.[:p]

I have been enjoying this Kielbasa sausage made in San Antonio TX that I found at Sam's Club. Tonight it will be for dinner with sauerkraut roasted in the oven and an acorn squash from my garden.[:p]

Tomorrow morning is our opening day for rifle deer hunting here in Michigan. I just may have a few links of that leftover sausage in my haversack along with me in my pursuit of ole Bambi!![:)][:p]

Well Az, no Bambi yet, so it looks like tonight will end up being a pair of very large chicken breasts that the wife marinated in some concoction?? Baked in the oven along with a couple of potato's.[:p]

Fresh cooked spinach with just a dab of butter and a splash of apple cider vinegar added.
