Nothing too fancy tonight. Had to go to work, so went to Wendy's for one of their new salads. Rather tasty for a fast food place. I'll bring some cookies to the fancy fiction feast or FFF for short. Have an old family recipe that uses lots of brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg, both semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips and chopped walnuts. Guaranteed 200 calories per cookie and you better have milk.

Went to a Ducks Unlimited dinner last night. We had filet mignon, steamed zuchinni, garlic mashed potatoes, salad, and way too many adult beverages.

I stood out on the deck under the eaves and froze my behind off while it poured down rain, It was a dark and stormy night. Wait dinner. A friend of mine told me about this beef product called skirt steak. Apparently it is the cut of meat derived from the Diaphragm (muscle separating chest and abdomen). He spoke highly of this untested cut of meat and provided me with an ample sample, marinated in red wine, teriyaki and various spices. I left it in the refrigerator to marinate for 3 days. Back to the story. I fired up the Barby last night and being the perfect gentleman also cooked some rice then heated some french green beans. A little dab of bulls-eye barbeque sauce and voila. I was impressed. Skirt steak is delicious and one of the most tender cuts of beef I've tried, I highly recommend it to anyone.

Poor Bee- but without a Mr., I would be an unmarried Mom Mom, which is the same thing as a (gasp!) Democrat. Then you wouldn't look twice at me."Tis better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all."Tonight 11-17Didn't get around to the steak. Did beef stroganoff, noodles, peas, and of course, ice cream.

Everyone give a big hearty welcome to TrinityScrimshaw. He's my old boss and that's his first post. He did indeed point out the best donut place in Jefferson County, NY. I do recall a time that I slept in and an old girlfriend's place and was late for work but nothing was said because I walked in with a dozen of those glazed beauties. Hat's off to the Turkey Slayer of NY. Or should I say...Turkey "harvester"
