for breakfast- ham-n-cheese sandwich and an applefor lunch- uncle sam was kind enough to provide me with a chicken and rice MRE(so tasty-HA)for dinner- some local kosovar's made our thanksgiving day dinner, and since we got back late from a prescence patrol, all we got was a turkey sandwich, cold stuffing, and some really crappy apple piei guess there really must be something to the phrase "as american as apple pie", cause they sure don't know how to make it in kosovo

instrumentofwar, thank you for doing the thankless job you are doing. In CONUS the socialist press has forgotten about you guys, but true Americans haven't. As for mre's I retired too early to enjoy such delights. I can tell you that c-rats were pretty bad, but lrps were ok if'n ya was really hungry. I never ate combat rats that were tasty, but they sure kept body and soul joined.

How about several selections of Methode Champeniose from Sonoma Vally...to celebrate the 100 posts mark? And then for those who prefer stronger fare..We could open a few mason jars of Low Bush Lightnin`...so named by great grandfather Bee,I suppose because it is distilled among the Flarda Mangrove trees that seemed so small in comparison to the large Georga pines he was accustomed to in the early 1800s.Oh yes,we had spe-gotts for supper, and tea.~Sir Lord Beekeeper~

instrumentofwar! What's going on man! I just talked to you-know-who on the phone and she gave me your mailing address. Now what would you like me to send? I'm sending her a Christmas present for the two of you but I know that Kosovo must be lacking something that a dear ol' 10th Mountain buddy can send you.

The alarm clock woke me from my dignified repose this cloudy morning for the purpose of reminding me of my meeting with Sir Rembrandt at a gun show in our fine state which I have recently learned is the birth state of the Great Sir John Wayne. Apparently I dismissed the signs indicating his place of birth during previous ventures to Des Moines and was tickled greatly to know of yet one more outstanding individual who started life in Iowa. After our relentless quest for handsomely engraved side-by-side double-rifles (which yielded no favorable results), the honorable Rembrandt and I took lunch at a most outstanding establishment doing business under the name of "Porky's". A delicious cut of beef, eggs (fried not poached) and toast comprised my mid-day meal which I will count as dinner as well due to the fact that it satisfied me so thoroughly that I do not believe I will eat another morsel until my dignified repose is interrupted yet once more.

Tonight its venison chops which will be seasoned with the best stuff I've ever found, Everglades Seasoning (I've only found it in Flarda). I'll be grilling them to perfection and eating them with some fried red potatoes and steamed asparagus. Wash it all down with a cold beer or two and a happy man I'll be. Is anybody else having problems with the clothes drier shrinking the waistband on their trousers? Hummmm...
