I never got to meet Dan, but I did have several long e-mail conversations with him. I tried to get him to join us in Tulsa, but he could not. Almost made it to visit him, but sadly not quite. I am saddened he is gone.
I am sad to report the passing of Gunnut505, Joe Woolston, 13 July, 2018. Joe had a cardiac event in May and was in rehab, but had a fluid build-up which ended with him on a machine. Per his wishes the family terminated treatment.
Hey my friends-You gotta have fun every day-You never know. Been getting together with some old fraternity brothers 4 or 5 times a year now for the past 15 years for golf and lunch or whatever and 3 of them have passed over the last 5 years. Gotta have fun and enjoy life.
RIP Perry Shooter. You will be greatly missed here.
Some will die in hot pursuit
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
8/2/2020.....David Maley, aka Maalox has lost his battle with cancer. He was a long time member of the forums and part of the Gun Broker family. He will be missed.
Like Dano, I've been away for a long stretch and it was very sad to see so many old names. I think I came through the door to this house about 2003 and the laughs far outweighed the gnashing of teeth. To the fallen....I bid you adieu. I hope to see you all at the party when I get there.
Some of you may remember that Tom had faked his own death on the forums previously. This time it's true.
Tom bought a parts gun from me and we conversed several times via email. At the time he confided that he was undergoing Cancer Treatments. That was back in 2014.
He was true gentleman. I made a mistake on an item he won from an auction. He was very gracious and sent the item on to the correct person. He will be missed….
