Well at the store today it was selling for 3 bunches /$.79 I bought 10 lbs. I'vew got a third of it in the food dehydrator as I speak. Gonna mix it in the venison sausage.[;)]

I was at the nations largest ice fishing show in St Paul at the River Center on Sunday and nobody was selling any cilantro. I'm seeing opportunities for next year. $$$$$$$
skicat..As a side note...The Minnesota Weapons Collectors Association (MWCA) is having a show at the River Center this weekend Dec 13-14...you are probably already aware of this. Rumor has it Cilantro Beef Jerk may be available for purchase[:D]

Yep. Was toying with the idea of going to see if anyone was interested in buying a Beretta shotgun I have.

Us cilantro farmers sure ain't getting rich off it. Venison cilantro sure sounds good right now, especially with this weather here in Central Africa.

Well anyone forced to endure cilantro-less fish fry at the ice shack of course. Fried fish with cilantro and lime juice is a staple in the great white north.

I'm thinking of throwing some cilantro on the Christmas tree. Mixed with the natural smell of the tree I think the Cilantro would work.[;)]

Not in my neighborhood however the MWCA is having the big show at the fairgrounds in St Paul this weekend. It is possible there may be a few independent cilantro hawkers lurking in the parking lot.

Seems to me that if ya could keep cilantro lit, it would come in second to a cloth bag of Bull Durham left out in the rain, dried moldy, and rolled in binder paper.

My chives were in large pots. They didn't make it. Also the hot pepper plants I was trying to overwinter inside the house appear to have lost the fight. I've apparently been watering fead plants.[:0]

I tapered off a little on my gardening this year. Last year I had 4 plots rented from the city and 2 plots at the co-op. I trimmed it down to just the 2 plots at the co-op this year. Got tired of people stealing my produce at the city plots.

We have about 8 small pots of herbs sitting in front of a south facing window that are growing well. Still have about another 10 that we will grow from seeds this week. Put up a 48 x15 shelf on our fence that we are growing only herbs on. That shelf is in the sunniest place in the yard should get at least 8-10 hours of direct sunlight per day. A lot more then my garden gets.

My wife just announced that she will be planting some cilantro in our yet-to-be herb garden this year. Any tips?

Was watching a program on the food network a few weeks back. They stated you could cut off the bottom third or so of an onion and place it in water. The onion would then sprout back up and produce another onion. So
I took the bottom of a yellow onion and placed it in a plastic container of water and a week later this is what I got. They said you could do the same thing with celery. So far the celery seems to be taking a bit longer. It might be because the celery roots are shorter.

The waiting for fresh cilantro ready to harvest is almost as long a wait as it takes to put a picture of half of filet of a fish on the web.
