The season is pretty much done. The tomato's were pretty bad once again. They were pretty much all stunted. Tried growing Brussels Sprouts which was a horrible mistake. Ended up with 3 pretty good sized zucchini a big batch of sage and kale although I don't care for it to much. The cilantro and chives were great as always. Planted some other stuff as well which never came up. How ever the tomato plant did provide a home for this guy all summer. He was practically eating out of my daughters hand. I shot this within 5 feet of him so he must like it here.[:D][:D]

No garden this year...the pear tree did produce one pear and I managed to run it over with the lawn mower...

I have one ghost pepper plant with 7 peppers slowly going from orange to red. Eventually I am going to dig it up and try and overwinter it inside in a big container.

Nice I saw some red & green peppers out next to the garden and asked my wife when we planted them. She said I just threw them out there for the rabbit.[B)][B)]

We have both a rosemary bush and a lemongrass plant potted on the back deck. Every once in a while I go out and run my fingers through them. I love the scent!

We have a Honey Suckle right next to one of the front room windows and for about 2 weeks out of the year it acts as a natural air freshener. I'm curious as to why the scent of some of these plants or bushes only last for short amounts of time. Sure would be nice to smell them all summer long. We have a Lilac bush as well but it is so far from the house that sometimes we forget it is even there.[:(][:(]

Yes I did but I'd like to pick up about 140 pickets and put it back to the height that it was before the city made me lower it.

I'm holding off on the garden. I planted too early last year, had 4-6 heavy freezes and frosts. I lost plants.

It was in the teens here, (Mtns of NE TN) a few nights ago.

Gonna hammer all my fruit trees (again.) They were all beginning to bud and flower out.

I put the tomatoes and basil in the planters two weeks ago, and the rosemary, thyme and sage is holding over from last year. Spaghetti sauce is on the horizon!

Definetly not planting outside here for awhile either. This is a good time to start the seeds indoors and they should be perfect size when it's time to put them in the ground. We had warm weather here for a couple weeks and the cherry/apple trees budded out then last week had temps in the teens.

Cilantro and coriander, looking good. Might need some mulch next year for them, the soils getting too hot and its going to seed too soon.

Thanks for the tip I went and cut most it down, Took it in the house and stuffed it in a sandwich bag. We had tacos on a plate tonight and now I don't want to wash my hands.

I know what you mean about not wanting to wash your hands. On cilantro harvest days I always wear latex gloves to protect the scent when showering.

No kidding. I've been writing to Procter and gamble for years trying to get cilantro scented shampoo and deodorant with no success.

In a related story I like the smell of bananas and the smell is supposed to help curb ones appetite. Try finding banana scented candles once. They are out there but difficult to find.
They make every other flavor of soda why not banana ??

Couldn't you just send a couple bananas through a food processor, throw em' in a mason jar and sniff that? Sure would be cheaper than a candle.

But eventually the banana would start to rot and then the wife would take it and make banana bread. Then I'd have to start the process over again. The candle works fine and I like idea of fire as well.[;)][:)]

Really who makes it or where did you buy it from as I've never seen it before.
