This is a cow cookies thread with little or no substance.

Think this thread will make forty pages, good luck and even if it does it is still void of any real meaning or content.

Would this be liquid hand soap or in bar form?

    It's liquid. She's uninterested, unfortunately.

Well because of the lack of sun light I didn't plant anything this year. The chives always come back and now the Parsley does as well. My wife planted a bunch of flowers around the border that are growing but they are still in early growth stage but they are growing. I tried to plant tomatoes a bunch of times but they grow to slow and then they all come in at once and then I don't feel like eating them. We tried a bunch of other vegetables but they didn't even sprout. About the only other thing that will grow is zucchini. [:(]

No didn't plant much this year. The cilantro, Parsley and Chives are still out there. The wife planted a bunch of flowers in it this year rather then edible food. I'm guessing we'll be cultivating it all this or next weekend.

Anyone plant anything this spring yet? I just cancelled my yard service for no-showing on aeration and overseed. They said they couldn't make it out to do it for another 4 weeks. They overseed that long out, I will be watering 24/7 just to get any germination.

Cilantro and chives were the only things that grew this year except for 2 zucchini and 1 green pepper.

just finished cleaning out the fish pond, put the gold fish in tank in the house see if they make it another year, usually turn em loose in city park pond, kept em inside last winter, on granddaughters request, she has all 7 named. lost one last winter it was a black and yellow one with gold head, one of the reasons I kept them wanted to see how big he would get, they are all about 4-6 inches now that is pushing the tanks limits but we will see, my outside pond isn't deep enough and freezes solid, so either turn em loose or try to keep em, we will see

I have cilantro and dill pretty much year around in my garden. Most of what we cook requires a quick trip to the garden for additional ingredients!

No idea what 'cilantro' is but if it's a fishy smell ..... certainly not good!

I raise tropical fish and they sure as hell don't smell like Cilantro. If they did I'd have a 100 tanks. Most people hate it or love it. I'm in the second group.

Was out walking my property this afternoon, listening to / watching my wet weather creeks. Very relaxing.
Have a couple mini-waterfalls and was thinking about hydro-electric the other day.

I think it’s only $194,000 for a wooden water wheel with pirate graphics on it. Might want to try that route first before going hydro electric.

    @armilite how is the garden?

Not good but it's way to early to really plant here. The rule of thumb is Memorial day as we can still get down to freezing. I'm less hopeful then my wife is.  We have like our 20 year old chive plant coming in along with some catnip and Italian Parsley. After that i don't have a clue as our garden doesn't get a lot of sun light. To many trees blocking the sun in our yard.  Oh and the cilantro won't go in for a couple of weeks yet.

So this year, I finally got to where I think the yard is going to do well. Got it dethatched and had it aerated and over-seeded this spring. Now that our kitchen and pantry addition is nearly complete we plan to put in a garden next year, so I am doing some planning about where to put some raised beds and so forth. We've got a lot of yard work ahead of us this year. I will try to keep y'all updated.

Bought a shed. Plan to get all the lawn equipment out of the garage.
Been raining almost every day here for the past week or 2. Waiting for it to dry up a bit before working on a ramp.

  • armilitearmilite Member Posts: 35,490 ✭✭✭
So the wife just went out and bought like 40 seed packets but I have no clue as to what she is going to plant.
  • armilitearmilite Member Posts: 35,490 ✭✭✭
I'm pretty sure this is the end of the line for the garden. Can only grow a few things other then Cilantro & Chives. How ever it now appears that half of my yard is growing Pumpkins. My problem is that I only get about 4 hours of direct sun light a day. I've had some success with growing tomatoes but it takes all summer to grow them and then they all come in at once and nobody really eats them here.

Well, I just got back in from the yard. It's a nice cool and some could say crisp morning, with the smell of fall in the air. Very beautiful with the sun shining and an expected high of near 80F today. My grass is getting long and will get one final cut this week before I put the trimming gear all ways for the coming cool months. It's been a heckuva year, 2020, but the morning out in the yard, walking around got me in a peaceful mood.
