Ribeye seared to perfection topped by baby portabellos sautéed in Kerry Gold butter with a side of Brussel sprouts roasted in the oven with a brown butter drizzle and chopped bacon. Yum.

Last night I had tomato soup made with milk and a grilled ham & cheese for dunkin'.  Washed down with a glass of cold apple cider.

Growing up...(with 9 other siblings)...tomato soup was a regular meal...Love it...However the wife won't even consider it!!!

A few Michiganders will know what I had for dinner last night.

A crescent shaped pie filled with ground beef, diced onions, rutabaga, carrots, and potato's. Known as a "Pasty" around here since way back in the 1800's invented by the Cornish Copper miners wives from the UP.

I had plans on making some of those filet mignons out of a half tenderloin I had thawing in the refrigerator. I made the mistake of not sharing my plans with the Mrs.

Came in around 11:30 this morning from deer hunting and discovered she had the beef baking in the oven along with some potato's and carrots! 😯

Guess we'll be having roast beef for supper. Hope it will be good and tender after spending 2 hours in the oven.
