    Jim, I have to say that it was mighty, mighty good!   Will finish the leftovers today. :)

    Once when the family and I were stationed in Bella Napoli, back in the mid-70s we visited a restaurant with some friends, and I had a risotto seafood dish served in a deep and somewhat heavy bowl.  The flavor was simply incredible!   As I recall, it had a strong garlic taste, but it was also bursting with all sorts of great taste.  This might have been the best Italian dish that I have ever had...it was that fantastic!  :) So, with you being a chef with a great deal of experience in Italian cuisine...would you post up such a recipe here on the forum when you get the chance?!!!  I would greatly appreciate that...and I'm sure other folks would too!

    macaroni and bacon,  in slight tomatoe sauce,  wifes is good but not as good as moms, she would cover in cheese and bake it till melted and browned then serve..........

    Had to make a trip to Walmart this morning and found they had frozen smelt in the freezer section! :p 

    I could not tell what they were asking for the one pound packages so I just took a single pound bag up to the checkout counter with all my other items.  It rang up at 7 bucks a pound. :)   Should have bought more but will hit them again real soon.    

    Not going to cook them just yet, as I have some thick cut pork I took from a loin marinating since yesterday. Going to grill them up on my Webber along with a nice Idaho potato and some whole carrots in butter and brown sugar.   Should make for a good dinner!

    Just started my meal in the 'crock' :::
    Some call it "Crack Chicken" ....
     Browned chicken breast (large) ,
     Cream cheese ,
     taco seasoning ,
     ranch dressing mix ,
     can of corn , seasoned tomatos , favorite beans ( chilli here ) : all drained ,
     chopped japaleno pepper ...
    Cook all day .... Serve with what ever ...

    YUM !!!

    HEY-It's Friday night here in "Cheese Land".  Local tavern fish fry.  All you can eat for $12.  Includes fried cod, your choice of potato (pancakes of course) and a lazy Susan that has MANY options!  As many refills as you like, except for the beer!   But the best part is the comerotery (sp?) of all the locals :)

    I made a big batch of goulash today using ground venison.  Those darn elbow macaroni were in a bag from Sam's club (bulk) one pounders and a pound of them make a lot!   Anyway, will be eating goulash all this week!  Plan on steamed asparagus, corn bread, along with ice cold lightly salted buttermilk as a chaser tonight!
